Tevez - staying or going?

could we possibly see a deal with Inter for Wesley and Sam in a swap?

I doubt it considering the reports that Inter wouldn't swap Eto'o for Tevez, so why would they swap both for him. It doesn't make any sense.

We should have got rid last Season, like I said in January.

Thank God no-one listens to you then.

Tevez really held us back last year didnt he. I mean, bad work ethic, never putting a shift in, not scoring goals. His head was really not in the right place and the whole season was marked by his half-hearted appearances and lack of effort.

Er, not.

Chippy_boy ; And now you are saying............what exactly? See that's the problem with following the 'party line' - safety in numbers doesn't always stop you looking foolish.
I say it how I see it - and I believe I will be proved right on this too.
Now we're going to lose a whole lot of dosh and its hampering our transfer plans and pre Season stuff too. What a mess - and completely avoidable.

And they don't want to pay his wages.

Why are people getting their knickers in a twist all of a sudden. Tevez has been saying this for months and months now it's nothing new and nothing has changed. Has a team come in with a bid out of the blue?...I doubt it. He signed a contract with us and doesn't really have another option regardless of weather he wants to leave or not.

I totally agree, he is worth much more than £35 Million (I mean if Andy Carroll is worth £35 Million then..........................)

Seriously, I can see us only getting around £25-£30 Million though off a foreign club.

City will more than likely accept this to get rid and off the wage bill and move on.

Maybe Tolmie can give us some info on the situation and possible replacements??

i fear this is the reality of the sitaution too..... Which club in Europe is gonna fork out big money, when he will have no resale value and could possible throw his toys out of the pram at anytime....

Exactly, and whoever takes him will have to under the idea that he will want a short contract and will probably run it down and go back to boca

I wonder if Tevez is so stupid to believe that City will let him go to outh America/Argentina on the cheap... or if he actually really wants to join Inter, Real Madrid or even Barca... if the latter, that just proves that all this talk about wanting to be closer to his family is just bollocks. Wouldn't be surprised if Kia is behind all this again.

The simple answer is that he is back with his wife and she fookin hates it in Manchester and Tevez has already been quoted as saying that he thinks pretty much the same.

If I had a choice of living in Madrid, Barcelone or Milan against Manchester I would be at the airport like a shot.

The worlds top players listen to what the likes of Tevez and Ronaldo say and that is why a number of both City's targets and the rags have already said this summer that they DO NOT WISH TO COME TO MANCHESTER.

Its a fact of life and I for one do not have a problem when a foreigner says what he feels, its not disrespectful to the city of Manchester just an observation that there are many other places in the world where people would prefer to live.

Well said!!

When he says he wants to be closer to his family by moving to Italy or Spain for example, it is not to save an hour or two off the flight journey but to have somewhere where he can persuade his family to re-locate and settle.

Manchester is not as appealing to them as say Barcelona or Milan and sadly that seems the simple truth of the matter unfortunately.

Agree, City are playing this cool. We hold all the cards not Tevez. If Mancini wants Aguero or Ibra or someone else then Tevez's camp have got to be working just as hard as City to make it happen.

Tevez has been great for us, and has helped greatly in getting us where we are. But we are where we are now and there are other strikers who can take us to the next level. Thanks Carlos but the fact that we the City supporters voted you 3rd behind Kompany and De Jong says it all.
You have finally lost the respect of the City faithful going forward.

Thanks for the past, Time to move on.

I realise this story has just come out but i wonder how long the bosses at City have known and have plans already been put into action. ??

The plans are already in place IMO. It's no coincidence to me that Mancini talked in the Sunday papers about trying to swop Tevez for Eto'o and the following day Carlos announces he is off.
Knowing that Tevez has an unstable agent City have given him a push and Mancini has got exactly what he wanted. If I am correct Mancini would not do that without knowing who he wanted to replace him with. That is why we have been quiet as we needed to know what was happening before we committed our money.
This is sad for the club but probably what we needed. We get a better Captain in Vinny, and Silva can now step up and be even better. The King is dead long live the King.

this! granted he is a great player, but surely if his reasoning for wanting to go is purely for the sake of his family, then surely he would be prepared to pay for a hell of a lot less than we are (stupidly) paying him....in my humble opinion there is no way we should keep a player who is repeatedly adamant that he wants to leave....and I for one cannot be arsed with the little tubby dwarf doing this every 5 or 6 months!
