some ppl are fixated on winning trophies at all costs, it shouldnt be that way. i rather come 2nd that win one with that runt after all we did for him and the amount of abuse we got off him. hes disruptive, no 2 ways about it, he even said him and bobby nearly came to blows in past. you cant tell me that 100% of the squad will welcome him back, so in that case even one person whos unhappy will reflect on the squad

If we come second Mancini will get the sack.

No chance.

That's cutting your nose off to spite your face though. If we could see into the future and it was shown that kettle neck's goals on the last game of the season were the difference in finishing first or second, I will have those goals all day long. He will be gone in the summer anyway and he won't get a winners medal as i'm guessing he won't have fulfilled the percentage of games criteria to be awarded one, (unless that only happens in the CL). We may aswell have those goals which secure the title than finish 2nd to United.

He's a ****, by the way but i'm just seeing things for the good of City, and a title in that cabinet is better than not having one, obviously.

i cant see how its for the good of the club, its splitting fan base, i bet its also splitting players, surely that cant be good, ive been waiting over 30yrs, i cant wait another year for it to come

The Cabal has spoken. Mancini is to blame. Tevez is great. Players hate Mancini. Just like the good old days.
I can't speak for anyone else but I'm saying that Mancini might have backed himself into a corner and Khaldoon and others might have had to back him out for the greater good of the club. Read the proper translation above and it throws a whole different light on things. No one's saying that Tevez is 0% to blame and Mancini is 100% to blame. Clearly that's not the case but it's also not as black-and-white as we all first thought.

I also don't necessarily believe that Tevez's return will cause a dressing room rift as I understand that most if not all of his colleagues respect him (even if they might not agree with some of the things he's done). And if (repeat, if)Mancini has told them Tevez will play only over his dead body and has been forced to climb down by the club then he will have lost some respect in the dressing room I would imagine.

Mancini invited Tevez around for coffee and a conciliatory chat a few days after Munich with an offer to come back into the fold with the only proviso being an apology to the owners, himself and his teammates - a not unreasonable request and one that Tevez rejected.

In hindsight this offer from Mancini was a smart move as a) it pulled him back from comments made in the heat of the moment b) put the onus firmly back on Tevez whose response was to fuck off for 4 months.

Mancini has continually reiterated that the position has not changed since September and the fact that the squad has responded well to the whole Tevez affair would indicate that they do not believe Mancini has acted unreasonably against one of their colleagues.

The club itself was quick to link Tevezgate to the withholding of bonus payments for his several transfer requests and his stated desire to quit City as soon as possible so whilst Mancini is part of Tevez's discontent it is just a factor in a very long list that contains but is not limited to:

Gary Cook
Family
Withholding of bonus payments
The weather
Withholding of bonus payments
Restaurants
Withholding of bonus payments
Home sickness
(feel free to add your own)

Oh and as to what Tevez or his advisor's say about Munich I personally don't put that much store in anything they say if only because it changes every 5 minutes but if I have to go by anything that Teves does say I'll go with his post match interview in Munich which he stated 'I didn't feel right to go on the pitch so I didn't'.

The rest is just white noise

Its been handled perfectly.

tevez knows who is in charge, and has to perform to fix his reputation.

this ^^^^^^

This.... is completely wrong. If he plays again, what if he doesn't perform well? Do you really think he goves a flying fuck? He'll just go somewhere else even cheaper. It could be said that it's in his own interests (which after all is all Tevez cares about) to engineer a drop in his value so as to open up a transfer to more clubs.

My sincere hope is that the club are taking him back just so that there is no chance of him accusing us of breaching his contract and that come Summer we fuck him off as quick as possoble.

he wants milan, if he starts playing wank then he knows milan won't be willing to pay what city want.

as i've said befoe this is his most imortant 3/4 months in his career, he has to get playing well and find HIS move.

How would you expect Mancini from stopping Tevez returning when he is contracted to Man City. He can not play him but there is no way he can stop him returning

Perhaps he should have thought about that BEFORE he announced publicly that Tevez would never play for City again?

or Tevez telling the world that he would never return to Manchester !!
Once he'd finished playing. I used to work in Swindon but wouldn't go back there unless I had to.

Welcome Back Carlo

Sick and tired of all the negative and bitter comments. Time to move forward and forget. I for one am glad he has come back and hope he proves all the haters wrong!

I say this without aim at you, but I couldn't give a flying fuck what it does to the fans in terms of splitting it, as come the end of the season when Vinny lifts the PL trophy, and Aguero is wearing the crown on his head, the fans will only be thinking of that and not Tevez. That is how it is for the good of the club. I don't care what fans think as much as other fans don't care what other fans think, we're just fans.
A premier league trophy in the cabinet and gold badges on our sleeve will piss all over the fans being split about Tevez 365 days of the year.

Even if Tevez were to play again this season & bang in a dozen goals in the remaining matches I still see there being no chance of him being with us next season. He'll go somewhere that's for sure. As long as there's a big fat paycheck in it for him & Kia I honestly don't think he gives much of a fuck where it is.

He is still an excellent player, and no matter what he does for the rest of this season there will still be clubs willing to take him on. If his value drops cos he can't be arsed (highly likely) there will be more suitors for him rather than less.
