Isn't the worst deal in the world in some respects. he might play well against United and Chelsea and his sell-on value would be more in summer than if we let him rot in the reserves (which isn;t that bad an option in some respects but we want t get as much as poss for him).

We would have to start paying him on his return though, he'll be carrying his contractual obligations by just turning up for training.
It'll then be up to Mancini how he manages him..................
