Tevez wants to stay but retire at Boca

A great scenario for us.

Tevez, effectively, costs us nothing to see out the remaining two years of his contract.

His wages are outside of FFPR rules, having signed in 2010.

To find a player of his quality, at his peak years, it's a win-win.

He would have been at City longer than anywhere else in his career and instead we will avoid paying him off to leave.

Tevez staying is literally like us signing a new £25m striker.

I also don't think we can discount the influence of Aguero, Zabaleta and Silva.

His family are no longer alone and have their own little community in Manchester.

Close thread.

City will probably accept him running down contract - but with assurances he sees it out without ANY tantrums.

I think Tevez will go this summer but it would not surprise me if he does not.
Glad to see someone has a definite opinion on all of this... ;-)

And I think we'll sign RVP unless he goes somewhere else.

I think we will sign RVP unless he goes somewhere else or stays at Arsenal lol, welcome to the splinter bum club lolol.

We shouldn't forget that over the course of his first two seasons with us, he was arguably the EPL's best performer across that whole period even if he wasn't the best in an individual season.

Although i agree with all that, don't underestimate Kia, he'll still be making phone calls.

I agree with this and believe he will see it as short term 'pain' for long term gain.

We are already close to £10m in front with Tevez due to his forfeit of wages and loyalty bonuses.

Only at City could he recoup those losses.

A motivated Tevez, with his family happy, is an exciting cocktail.

Sadly, I believe this will ensure Dzeko is the man to leave.

-- Thu Jun 07, 2012 10:27 am --

Milan also have the horn for Dzeko, so something has to give!

If we lose Dzeko, we will seriously lack an aerial option up front. Kun, Tevez and maybe even RVP are all too short to be a genuine threat aerially. Mario is a big lad but fucking useless in the air
