Tevez wants to stay but retire at Boca

If we lose Dzeko, we will seriously lack an aerial option up front. Kun, Tevez and maybe even RVP are all too short to be a genuine threat aerially. Mario is a big lad but fucking useless in the air

Well Crouch is cheap if you want aerial action

You do reqalise that RVP is 6ft 1" only 1" shorter than Balo?

Don't be silly. It's nice to have a different option if you're going to have four front line strikers. Dzeko provides it. Maybe you weren't at the QPR game, or Newcastle away.

Balo is pretty useless in the air, so why would a shorter man be any better?
RVP is a good all-round finisher, headers included, but he doesn't necessarily do the job that Dzeko can do when we need a different out ball

It may seem like i am being a bit silly but if we want a big target man that would be happy to play infrequently you cant be shopping in Harrods

Do you have to be tall to be good in the air? Falcao is 5ft10"

That team called Barcelona aren't too bad and they have a front line of midgets?

*I would just like to add that i have nothing against midgets

Yes, Dan. But (a) we are not as good as Barcelona. Maybe one day, but we're still a hell of a long way from that yet.
and (b) Barcelona also don't play in the English league. They play in Spain, where all the teams play the same way. Thje Premier League is very different to La Liga. Barcelona don't have to face Arsenal one week and then Stoke or Everton away the next.

I agree with Joe, Falcao is very good in the air at 5ft 10in. Better than Mario and Van Persie, for sure. That is, though, playing in Spain and Portugal. I doubt he would be so dominant in England.

I just feel that binning Edin would give us one less option. Why would we want do that, and imprison ourselves in some sort of tactical dungeon? Tiki taka isn't the only way to score a goal. You don't get double if a goal is at the end of a 25-pass move.

A forward line of Tevez Aguero Balotelli ?

No need to change the strike-force.

Agreed. Tevez, Aguero and Balotelli can all play effectively on the wings and behind the striker so the link up play between the 3 has the potential to dominate the Premier League.

It's a good debate and one that everyone will have differant view or opinion.

My opinion is that i like Dzeko as a person and a player but i don't think he fits in or suits the way that Mancini wants to play, our loss will be someone elses gain though and i think he'll excel in the right team.

Dzeko needs to play week in week out. Total confidence player when he is on fire unstoppable trouble is he can't play week in and week out in our squad and therefore will be replaced with someone who won't take four or five games to get his confidence back. We can't afford the luxury.
