Tevez - Whats the latest?

Barcelona midfielder Javier Mascherano has labelled Manchester City's treatment of striker Carlos Tevez as 'ugly'.

"Carlitos (Tevez) has done so much for Man City that I think it is so ugly what they are doing to him now," Mascherano said, according to Argentine newspaper Clarin. "I can't believe what is going on."

"Everyone attacks him even when he can't defend himself. It's so unfair."

"But England is a complicated place, because when something like this happens, everyone attacks you."

What a cretin
I don't know mate, the second part is a fair statement. The press in this country not only make football but also wreak havoc on it as well. They basically pick the England team then criticise it when they only win 1 or 2-0. They lambast Rooney in one sentence then state that he is a naive world class star in the next.

It's all good in England as long as they get their story.

I kind of agree with him to be honest. The last sentence is spot on.

Tevez refuses to enter disciplinary hearing

13-10-11

CARLOS Tevez has foiled Manchester City's plans to discipline him by refusing to enter the room.

Tevez said he was happy to come back and sit here again next week
The Tolkien-inspired strikebeast told club officials he had no intention of going in before returning to his chair in the reception area.

He then waited until the end of the 90 minutes that had been allotted for the hearing and went home.

Permanently crestfallen manager, Roberto Mancini, said: "I've tried to talk to him face to face but when I went to his house he pretended to be the cleaner.

"When I peered through the letterbox I could see he'd even dressed up as a maid and was pottering around with a duster and speaking in a soft, high-pitched voice.

"I haven't eaten since and I dare not sleep."

The Football Association is now struggling to decide how to punish a player that refuses to acknowledge it even exists and has called on sport philosophers for help in breaking through the Argentinean's Möbius strip of disregard.

Meanwhile Tevez's revolutionary tactics are starting to affect other players in the squad, with Sergio Aguero announcing he can no longer be offside as he does not acknowledge the existence of linesmen, while keeper Joe Hart said that because, on a quantum level, the ball can exist both inside and outside the net simultaneously, he is not going to bother trying to save it anymore.

Mancini said: "I'm basically trying to corral a bunch of millionaire second-year philosophy student smart-arses.

"I wonder what would happen if I took one of them to a forest and no-one was around to hear it."

As printed in Today's Daily Mash. Sums it all up quite nicely. LMFAO

anybody that believe`s corinthians made a £40 million serious offer for tevez, please put down your bong and come back to reality.

You can call me Cheech or Chong, i don't mind to be honest

The evidence is in the bag and may have to be used at a later date, if things turns sour.

Anyone that doesn't think it was a real bid then answer me this:
Why are Corinthians currently sniffing around for a bargain if they were never interested?

because they may NOW be interested at a bargain price

I reckon Corinthians definately had options, just not enough time to get the sponsors in place. That's why we pulled the plug - from 50 to 40 to 30.

if we get anything like £30M for him now I would be astonished; £20M tops I would think

Revealed: Tevez's 1am showdown with Mancini
Published 22:30 13/10/11 By Oliver Holt

Roberto Mancini hosted a 1am summit at his house with Carlos Tevez in a bizarre attempt to broker a last-minute peace deal.

The Manchester City boss had told the Argentina striker he would never play for the club again after accusing him of refusing to come off the subs bench against Bayern Munich last month.

But the meeting, in the early hours of Thursday morning ended in stalemate, leaving Tevez to train alone later in the day following the end of his two-week suspension.

Mancini had called Tevez late on Wednesday, as the player was about to board a train from London to Manchester.

Tevez, who fears a seven-figure fine for alleged breach of contract, told Mancini he would not be back in the north-west until late, but the Italian urged him to attend anyway.

The meeting eventually happened at Mancini's house in Cheshire after midnight but ended in failure after Mancini gave Tevez an ultimatum.

The City boss insisted Tevez would have to apologise privately and publicly for his actions in Munich, to both him and City chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak.

He told the player that, in return, he would be allowed to train with the first team, but that the disciplinary proceedings against him would not be dropped.

Tevez, who still insists he did not refuse to play against Bayern but accepts he said he would not warm up again, rejected the ultimatum.

He is believed to feel Mancini should apologise to him for accusing him of refusing to play.

Mancini said there was no question of him apologising, and the meeting ended.

Tevez trained alone with the club's physio when he reported back to City's Carrington training centre.

Despite the late-night meeting, the two sides are understood to be as far apart as ever, with little chance of a settlement.

Hours earlier, City and representatives of Tevez believed they were close to agreeing a statement that would have ended the stand-off between the two sides, but those hopes proved false.
