Except that's just 2 hand picked examples from hundreds of minutes of football.

Tevez doesn't usually play one touch, fast football. Just ploughs past people

This is the same argument that Mancini only plays negative, defensive football. Bollocks! In Mancini's first full season, yes we played a slower build up play, often with Tevez as a lone striker and he had to do all the work himself, and appeared selfish. He did finish up as the top scorer in the league, mind.

The proof is the pudding with how we played last season that with the right players Mancini is very capable of playing attacking football, and Tevez with the right system and players around him is very capable of playing quick, intricate, one touch football.

Open your eyes and judge them on what they actually do, and not what they were doing 2 years ago.

I honestly can't see anyone getting anywhere near the asking price or anywhere near his wages. What club would gamble £250k per week on a Dodgy temperament and beer belly?

I don't mind if he stays but I don't see him as first choice any more. Whilst he can play of course, he doesn't play one -touch pacy football like Sergio, silva, Barry, yaya etc. He's like nasri, takes too long on the ball and loses momentum. He does some
Magic things on the ball when fit, of course, so would be a great sub and squad player. But building our game around him, as you have to, would be a step backwards.

Tevez is an animal and will run and run more than any other striker in European football. When it comes down to matchday he is as fit as anyone else on the pitch.

Ummm... calm down?

Did I say Tevez can't play fast, one touched etc. football? No I didn't.

just because city plays *at pace* doesn't mean each player has to *have pace* especially if they're skilled and visionary

Except for that wonderful backheel for Sergio`s goal at Norwich.

And the touch for Nasri versus Chelsea, a critical game to win. Aguero and Tevez could score between 50-60 goals between them this season with a full pre season programme ahead of them. Tevez is intelligent, has a good touch and hard working, he is best of friends with Aguero, they are both more likely to be selfless on the pitch and work for each. When Aguero and Dzeko or Ballo play together something seems to be missing, the stats prove this, they need to work at forming a partnership.

No, but you said he doesn't "usually" play it. I was explaining to you that since we changed the system to play fast, attacking, one touch football, he has played it very well.

Criticising him for not playing that way two years ago when we were set up to play a cagey, slow defensive way doesn't really make any sense does it?

Hmmmm, again, did I criticise him? Nope, don't think I did.

What the hell are you going on about? 2 people posted examples of Tevez playing fast one touch football.

You replied saying "except that's 2 examples out of hundereds of minutes of football. Tevez doesn't usually play fast one touch football, he just ploughs through people."

If you weren't criticising him, or suggesting he wasn't capable of playing that way, what was the purpose of your post? Just passing time? Strange.

The purpose was to highlight that Tevez doesn't usually play fast one touch football? Seems pretty obvious?

Which is true, hardly a criticism.

Now, stop getting your knickers in a twist, you're as bad as TevezCity.
