Tevez

This is the same argument that Mancini only plays negative, defensive football. Bollocks! In Mancini's first full season, yes we played a slower build up play, often with Tevez as a lone striker and he had to do all the work himself, and appeared selfish. He did finish up as the top scorer in the league, mind.

The proof is the pudding with how we played last season that with the right players Mancini is very capable of playing attacking football, and Tevez with the right system and players around him is very capable of playing quick, intricate, one touch football.

Open your eyes and judge them on what they actually do, and not what they were doing 2 years ago.
Ummm... calm down?

Did I say Tevez can't play fast, one touched etc. football? No I didn't.

No, but you said he doesn't "usually" play it. I was explaining to you that since we changed the system to play fast, attacking, one touch football, he has played it very well.

Criticising him for not playing that way two years ago when we were set up to play a cagey, slow defensive way doesn't really make any sense does it?

Don't waste your time with him.

He thinks the more you hate Tevez, the better supporter you will become.

Again, where in those posts have I criticised Tevez or stated that I hate him?

Please reply for once

Hmmmm, again, did I criticise him? Nope, don't think I did.

What the hell are you going on about? 2 people posted examples of Tevez playing fast one touch football.

You replied saying "except that's 2 examples out of hundereds of minutes of football. Tevez doesn't usually play fast one touch football, he just ploughs through people."

If you weren't criticising him, or suggesting he wasn't capable of playing that way, what was the purpose of your post? Just passing time? Strange.
The purpose was to highlight that Tevez doesn't usually play fast one touch football? Seems pretty obvious?

Which is true, hardly a criticism.

Now, stop getting your knickers in a twist, you're as bad as TevezCity.
Remember one two with Nasri that beat Chelsea and combination play with Aguero at Norwich. He's got a lot more to his game as well

I know he does, I didn't say he doesn't.

Can we have a screening process for the forum please?

My knickers are completely twist free, I feel more a sense of pity for you that you seem unable to understand a fairly basic football point. I'll give it one last go to explain it to you, care in the community and all that.

Carlos Tevez has played 79 games for City. 66 games before the 2011-2012 season and 13 in the 2011-2012 season.

City started playing fast, attacking, one touch football in the 2011-2012 season. Previous to that City played a slow build up cagey defensive style under Mancini, and some kind of terrible ineffective counter attack under Hughesless.

So, for the 66 games before last season Tevez did not play fast, attacking, one touch football, because he was not asked or required to. In the 13 games where he was asked to play fast, attacking, one touch football, he did so, and he did it very well.

To say Tevez doesn't "usually" play fast, attacking football is correct in the sense that he has played 66 games in a system where he was not expected to. But in the 13 games where he was expected to play fast, attacking, one touch football, he has done so extremely well.

Saying Tevez doesn't "usually" play fast, attacking, one touch football is like saying Tevez doesn't "usually" wear a red and black striped away shirt for City. It's factually correct, but completely irrelevant.

Again, you seem to think I meant he can't and seem to be taking it personally.

I am right in my saying he doesn't usually playing fast one touch stuff, even this season outside of 2 games at the tail of the season. He is a direct player, he wants to get on the ball and run with it, has done his whole career.

Now, stop derailing the thread.

Would tevez be with the team on pre season if he is moving Milan? They wont pay 40 million so we wont sell. I think if he didn't go last season and stayed we would of got 95 points maybe more

I refer you to my previous post.

You seem to want me to be taking it personally for some reason, but I assure you I'm not. Good luck with winding others up, but I'm a bit grown up for that.
