One of my favourite Blues. Hoping he can get his career back in order at Villa.
 
Really hoped he'd finish his career here but seemed he lost his focus and became undecided on whether he wanted to be a footballer or a bodybuilder and as a result lost his pace and gained more injuries. Hopefully he can refocus and get back to something like he used to be
 
Anyone think he could have been played more at centre half.....after the Sven season, he only played there the odd time... Pellegrini even preferring Garcia there.
I think if we had persevered with him in that position he would still be playing in the England team.
His build was definitely suited to it after he bulked up.

Think his build was there, but his brain wasn't. I don't think the had the concentration/wits to play as a CB for more then the odd game or 2.

Still, wish him the best of luck. If he could regain his fitness I think he good be a very good RB. The last 3 years have been rough but he was great in the first title season. Still only 26!
 
Rampaging right back on his day and I agree with some he could potentially have beena really good CB - shame it went a bit wong the last year or two.
