Thanks Tevez

Love Carlitos. Didn't agree at all with what he did in Munich, loved just about anything else. He always gave 100% for us when on the field and we certainly wouldn't have won the Premiership without him. At times he carried us, literally grabbing the team by the collar and pulling them along.
I feel sad that he's going but I know it's the right time. We got decent money for him considering he is in his last year here and coupled with the bonus laden final year of his contract, the financial side of things shouldn't be ignored.

Thank you Carlos, thanks for everything you've help achieve here and good luck at Juve.

Thanks Carlos we were a one man team for a whilsy and he did more to take us where we are than anyone else.

I can see personal details being a problem here. Juventus are not going to pay 200k a week.

My abiding memory is of his very deliberate and pointed rejection of all City scarves, hats, flags etc when he went up the steps to collect the FA Cup. I raged for days afterwards and the thought of it still makes me angry now. In a very public way this said loud and clear what he thought about the club and us the fans. In spite of all the goals this is why he does not deserve the sobriquet 'City Legend.'

One of the players I will be sad to see leave. He did well for us and was the breakthrough signing that moved us forwards

-- Wed Jun 26, 2013 7:41 am --

In fairness he did do this though

The guy stood up to ferguson and his bully boys and said fk you, for me the best striker we have had for 30 years, ok we have all made mistakes in life, but he came back and helped us to the greatest day in our history, for me fantastic player a real character ill miss him.

I'm pleased the Tevez saga is almost over. He was a divisive player who seems to have bought controversy everywhere he's been. He leaves with my best wishes but I'd be lying if I wasn't secretly happy about it.

Absolutely delighted that Tevez is going from both a business and footballing view point.

The financial benefits of him leaving are there for all to see but I think it'll benefit us massively from a footballing perspective too. Personally and I know many disagree but I thought his inclusion slowed the whole team down last season because he always comes too deep for the ball, which means Silva, Nasri and Yaya have no option but to play a simple 5 yard sideways pass because there's no movement in front of them other than Aguero who also likes to come deep a lot of the time. To me it's always been a case of Aguero or Tevez rather than both and in my mind there's no point discussing that because Aguero wins hands down every single time.

Very talented player who undoubtedly improved us, but a hugely suspect temperament.

Adios Carlos; muchas gracias por los goles pero vete a la mierda por Munich.

Virtually carried us single handedly at times. Awesome talent and outstanding work rate plus he was generally very appreciative of the fans. He wasn't the one at fault in Munich despite what some on here seem to think.

I think I've told the story on here but I was working down in London for a while and early in 2011 we played Arsenal at the Emirates midweek. I was among a small group of about 30 invited to the team hotel the night before and we met Mancini, many of the players and had an entertaining Q&A with Bernard Halford.

The interesting thing was seeing how the players reacted to the fans and the two best by far were SWP and Carlos. The latter particularly couldn't do enough for us and had all the time in the world. He really looked like he was enjoying himself whereas others looked a bit uncomfortable or even didn't acknowledge us at all. Micah Richards was another who was quite brilliant.

Always had a lot of respect for Carlos after that. Hope we get the chance to welcome him back one day.

I think we're making a mistake selling him. Who is better out there for sale at a reasonable price? Word is cavani is £50m+ and who knows how he'll do in the premiership. Suarez is as good but he brings all the baggage of tevez and more.

Thank you Carlos, I know we had our problems with you but I feel you in many ways made up for it. I wish you luck with your future.
On a separate issue, I am concerned that, even with two signings, we have players leaving and queries re one or two players that may get a transfer and we seem to have missed out on some of the players that City were hoping to sign. If we don't sign any more players I really hope our squad will be strong enough to cope with our rivals. We got left behind last season and I hope this doesn't occur again come the next campaign.

I don't understand why he would want to go to Juve...

However I'd like to say thank you to Carlos, He has been exceptional, by far the best most passionate player to put on a city shirt in this era. The amount of times he has single handily won City matches us unbelievable.

And I honestly don't think he can be replaced. I have never seen a footballer who runs that much around the pitch closing down defenders until the 90th minute.

Lets hope we can get another top striker but really i can't think of many - Cavani is over hyped every international game i have watched him in he has been awful.. Falcao would of been a good option but him going to Monaco sums him up, where he can sit in his 8mil 1 bedroom shed is fine by me

One of a very few players that in my opinion loved playing for the fans and not just for himself.

just looking back at his 10 top goals http://www.mcfc.co.uk/citytv/features/2 ... goals, some one has some very big boots to fill.

cheers carlos, been a great player for us. Shame about the off field antics and on sometimes. But you gave me the best smile when you signed from the rags and gave us the infamous welcome to Manchester poster lol. The rags will never forget that poster :)

I would have liked to have seen us draw in more around the £15m mark for a player of his quality. I think we have seen his best years, thanks for the goals and effort Carlos.

Loved the guy for his performances on the pitch and loved the Welcome to Manchester, but him signing for another team after stating that all he as ever wanted was to return to Boca really tells it all about the person he actually is.

IMO he plays the tune and expects everyone to follow.

You know I can't think of anyone who is better to replace him. Or at least no one we wouldn't be robbed blind for.

Probably should have tried to extend him if he was willing.

Can see us slipping up here, but I have to trust that they know what they are doing. RSC anyone?
