Makes you appreciate the quality of what you see in front of you doesn’t last forever. He was exciting, powerful, dominant, excellent at keeping the ball, could burst forward from midfield to attack, could score goals from anywhere (outside the box, free kicks, penalties, good footwork inside the box...) and in the very biggest games he was there at the forefront. At his best he’s been our best player since the takeover. Will be a top send off for him tonight!

Thank you Yaya. One of the gang of 5 who will forever be a City legend (Komps, Dave, Yaya, Zaba, Kun). He was a force of nature and one of the most talented footballers I have ever seen. Good luck to him wherever he goes.

I think he's been very weak for 2-3 seasons, but still one of our greatest ever players.

Going out with virtually no media coverage at all which is unbelievably poor.

I will be amazed if he's playing regularly in the Premier League next season. He may have been truly gifted as a player but when the engine goes that's it, especially in the Premier League which is so fast.

Amazing player, thank you Yaya for everything!

After the interview on the OS I can't help but to think however that he is not the sharpest knife in the drawer and that he has been duped by his **** of an agent, which stirred up some unnecessary shit. Although this is long forgotten, he will unfortunately not go down as a legend for me because of this, something Vinnie, Silva, Zab and Kun will. This although Yaya has played just an integral, maybe even more integral, role than the former.

Sometimes you need a player that will grab the game by its neck and win you it. Yaya was that. I forget about all off the pitch and think about what he did on the pitch.

Could be biased as he was my favourite city player and have him on the back of 3 shirts haha.

Amazing player in his prime. Never got the recognition in this country that he deserved.
