Thanks Yaya

Absolute superstar - Yaya. Always showed up in the big games and frightened the life out of other teams when he was at his best, his goals, power and ability to keep churning the ball took us to another level. Apart from Silva the best player I’ve seen in a City shirt.

Sure, he,s got baggage, and a prick of an agent, but take those away and what we have enjoyed is a player who bought into our clubs ambitions, and was absolutely immense. On his day he was unplayable, and with a goal repertoir to match the best ever. Thanks Yaya, and good luck to you in whatever you do. My fave goal of his was that one away at palace, couple of one/twos from inside his own half, lung bursting run while fending challenges off, then a super cool finish. Maybe not the most important, but one that shows how good he was, would love to see a clip if anyone knows how to upload it.

Remember that Prescott bit in the 2011/2012 video. I think it was the day before the Newcastle game and Lescott was talking to about player when Yaya walked past and said "I'm going to do something tomorrow". Lescott said he never doubted it.

Big game player. Fucking loved watching him dominate games.

However, my favourite was watching players try to get the ball off him - he just swatted them away.

The semi final goal is the one though. Changed everything for me.

I wish him all the best in the future. One of the best players of a generation.

The villa goal will alleays stand out for me. Shame he never won the champions league with us.

An absolute Titan of a player and in his prime was unstoppable. Best example of his power and probably my favourite was the goal against Villa in 13/14 season.

Thanks for the memories Yaya.

He should be regarded as one of our greatest players and one of the best midfielders to have played in the Prem.

I will never forget his juggernaut charges through the middle of the park where no one could seemingly match him for pace and power. His range of passing and composure on the ball were - and still are - brilliant.

First cup my old fella saw us win was FA cup with his old fella
First cup for me was FA cup with my old fella

He gets really emotional about that win and I’d say it means more to him than Aguero goal

He absolutely loves YaYa and I think those goals had a lot to do with it
He will be very sad v Brighton

I wonder if the players realise the kind of memories and effect they have on people

I've never seen any player like him, he had the dribbling ability of a winger, the build of a CB, the vision of a number 10, the finishing of a striker and the control and passing of a world class holding midfielder.

Completely and utterly unique.
I think the technical side of his game was under appreciated.

I’m really pleased it’s worked out that, like zabba, he gets a sentimental testimonial type send off. There’s a great chance of him scoring too because he will take every setpiece.

What a fitting farewell that would be. A fairy tale. He deserves it.

In his peak an absolute beast of a player and one of the finest midfield players the PL has seen. Those lung busting runs into the opponents penalty areas and his amazing free kicks will live with me for a long time. Yaya all the best for the future.

Yaya - absolute legend and has written his own piece of history. No other player has been as important as him. Not the best player ever to have played for us but without doubt the most important. God speed my friend and thanks for the memories.
