I'm (honestly) not a beer snob but Cruzcampo is pretty crap in this country. I had some in Spain earlier this year, thought it was decent so was more than happy to get some from Tesco's.
Problem is that it's different to the the Spanish one. So it doesn't taste the same nor do you get the enjoyable buzz that you get from the marginally stronger Spanish version.

Someone once told me the same about bottled Guinness years ago. There was a time when shops and supermarkets had bottles that said "brewed in Ireland" Not a connoisseur so don't know if it was true. Could have been an urban legend for all I knowAlways check the label. If what you know to be a good continental beer is shown as being brewed in the UK, walk away.
Corona and Madri are good examples. Imported bottles or cans are good quality. UK 'versions' are shite.
Sadly, Estrella is now being brewed under licence in the UK. Another fine beer down the pan.

The proper Spanish Cruzcampo is a real nice drink....and a real nice price.Cruzcampo is a premium product. Hence the price.
