As one that wore a Green Beret in the youngest, largest (at the time) and the only Regiment in the history of the British Army to have been on campaign service for our entire history, I may have been "given" my "hat" on passing out, but many that wore the other green beret or the maroon one, had great difficulty in understanding how we managed to do what we did.
