I'm certainly not sick of them

it is AMAZING and UNBELIEVABLE.........

Can I ask why you would post this yet just now on another thread you stated you are sick of the amount of money pissed away on the olympics?

And the money spent on the NASA mission to mars was more important.
the bit at the bottom is a piss take of the over the top bullshit that has been going on about the Olympics. They are possibly the two most overused words on the BBC right now.

I dont think I will ever feel the same about the Olympic games again. A lot of it is because its in the UK and that we have put on a great show. A lot because we have done really well and a lot well just because its been bloody fantastic all round. I found myself getting disappointed that it will be over on Sunday even with a City friendly being that day
I really hope we can put on a fantastic closing ceremony and see out which in my eyes has been the best Olympics ever

Actually, Britian did better in Beijing in my opinion as you lot got 47 medals at at a time when China and the US got over 100 medals each. You look set to finish with about the same total, whereas China and US look set to finish with about 30 medals less than the last olympics. But you look like getting more golds than last time.

Re: The 2012 Olympics Thread (7th August, Page 193)

hahaha.....the BBC are at it again this morning. In the last hour, 3 different reporters have said:

'if the cycling team were a country they'd be 10th in the medals table'

'if the rowing team were a country they'd be 10th in the medal table'

'if Yorkshire were a country they'd be 10th in the medal table'

So in reflection we have done better which is what I said.
P.s. We will end up with more than 47 by 1

We will get an extra 10 gold medals more than Beijing and a further dozen in total.
Trust me this one is better.

What i meant was that some of those medals lost by US and China as compared to last time should come to you lot thus increasing your total to about 60, which doesnt look like happening.

Well we could do with 5 days remaining. Also what events have China and USA dropped medals in because I can be quite certain they are events we have no chance of competing in.
China medal haul was a joke of epic proportions in Beijing anyway. They got medals for turning up

dont want to appear unpatriotic or owt but i am fucking sick of the sight of it all on our screens all day and night. bored now, want the footy back.
I'm certainly not sick of them, but I'm sick to fucking death of the BBC thinking that nothing else is going on in the world. There is a young girl missing in London, and the headline news is about a fucking Gold medal! The BBC have around 31 channels covering the Olympics, so I don't see why the news should be fucking dominated by it as well.

However, it is AMAZING and UNBELIEVABLE.........
There's fuck loads of kids go missing everyday. If they reported all of them then there'd never be time for any other news item.

-- Tue Aug 07, 2012 9:46 am --

Don't fucking watch then.

And what they say is true, it's been a fantastic acheivement.

Re: The 2012 Olympics Thread (7th August, Page 193)

watched a lot of BBC 4 and ITV 3 in the last 10 days.

RT News channel is interesting for an objective view of the utter fuck up that the lympics have done to London shops, hotels, etc..
Interviewed a lot of traders who can't wait for them to end.

Re: The 2012 Olympics Thread (7th August, Page 193)

The hotels shouldn't have trebled their prices then.
