dont want to appear unpatriotic or owt but i am fucking sick of the sight of it all on our screens all day and night. bored now, want the footy back.

Personally I've really enjoyed the coverage and getting into sports that I would have flicked past in a second had they been on on a normal day but I do know what you mean. The whole thing seemed to peak at the weekend and the events that are going on now just somehow seem to be a bit of an anti climax. If the mens 100 metres final is the blue ribbon event that everyone looks out for and is meant to be the highlight of the whole competition why put it on on the middle weekend? Surely it should have been this Friday evening with everything building towards it.

Alistair got gold and his brother Johnny got bronze.

These lads are seriously fit! Really tough event this, everyone who crosses the line is just collapsing.

Cycling could well produce 3 golds on its own - Hoy, Vickie P and Laura Trott, and there's the BMX as well.

I reckon 2 in the cycling, 2 in the boxing and 1 for the 5000m. Then there are other possibilities, like from Odowu for example. We could reach 25 or 27golds at a stretch.

Hoy and Pendleton will be huge favourites, and Trotty is world champ and 2nd after 4 events out of 6, she is such a gusty rider.

Shanaze Reid is world champ in the BMX so she's got a good chance.

Boxing i agree - 4 medals of which hopefully 2 will be gold.

5000m should Mo go in it, the dressage are leading (think they are assured a silver at least) and there will be other random ones i think, like sailing with some shouts.

Getting 25 would be brilliant - i am loving all these minor sports - Olympic summers are so much better than other summers when i get football blues...
