I wonder which ostrich is going to come along with the feeble excuse that it's been accidentally overlooked

he he.

* gets comfy*

Go on then, I'll bite. What if the answer is as simple as nobody knows where City will rank? Will they be doing just one end (54000) or both (62000)?
The answer is: "above West Ham and Newcastle, irrespective".

BTSport Football Tonight just now, discussing the benefits to West Ham of relocating to their new stadium and the extra revenues it will bring. Supporting graphic showing stadium sizes, ranked by largest, at start of 16/17 season.

I take it they think we'll be relegated by then..

It's just one of those (ahem) "unfortunate oversights" that happens every now and again.

A simple misunderstanding. Nothing more than a reasonable error.

Everton looking to move into a new stadium in the next few years that has 55,000 + yet for an FA Cup tie get 22,236 crowd in a stadium that holds over 35,000+ easily
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30629895

West Ham in the replay get a crowd of 25,301 and yet looking to go into a 54,000+ Olympic stadium
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30705802

What would Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes say ?
Why do Talksport never have this sort of information on their website and yet:

so just the one ostrich then, a pissed one at that.

carry on.

just to confirm we are reaffirming the media agenda which no one seems to be doing anything about(by that i mean those who could)

i might add that is one of the most blatant snubs to city i've seen to date, you could of argued it away if they had left candlepools off

exactly, it would be an easy, although rather stupid, mistake if they had just taken current capacities and shoved WHU in there, the sort of thing a YTS lad might do

but to have the foresight to change Liverpool's capacity means it was quite deliberate to overlook City's, as Liverpool's hasn't started whereas ours has been in production for 8 months

For anyone who questions the impact of the media's negative reaction, I'll recount what my boss (a Blackpool fan) said about City, Lampard, FFP etc last week. His actual words were:

"I see City are at it again, bending the rules".

Now he's a reasonably intelligent bloke, who likes his football and has no particular axe to grind with City. Unfortunately his opinion has been formed by the narrative of these click bait headlines.

just another trivial example of BT lazy journalism eh Ric? It must be so tedious for you to encounter yet more petty distractions from the raggy Manchester press pack.
