It tears them all up inside to see how quickly and comprehensively we have usurped them and in the manner in which we have done it - the antithesis of the "United way".
"The agenda" is a direct result of their hurt. The more success we have the more they will try to sideline us.
We have overtaken them on the pitch and will soon do so off it. They lorded it over us for years and now we are showing them just how totally hollow their success was - that little old city can come along and topple them within a few years. No wonder their friends in the media try to ignore us, the truth is too painful for them to contemplate.

The thing is we have done it the "utd way" - I.e. by spending a lot of money - the utd PR department and their friends in the media have created this myth.

We may have spent a lot of money but we have not done it the United way. In our path to the summit of English football, we have shown a great deal more class and dignity than they ever did.

Well said. City has class running through the middle of everything we do.

This morning's Telegraph football headlines:

"United passion play finishes off brave Yeovil"

"Birthday boy Milner saves sluggish City"

In my view a very favourable slant on things in United's favour.

Ogden does his usual negative shit:

Manchester City will discover the true value of Yaya Touré over the next five weeks, with Manuel Pellegrini facing a key period of fixtures without the Ivory Coast midfielder.

Touré is due to fly to Africa on Monday to link up with his country ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations which kicks off in Equatorial Guinea on January 17 and, despite suggestions that the former Barcelona player has struggled for form this season, his departure will leave a big hole in the City team.

The 31-year-old may have struggled to scale the heights of last season, when only the brilliance of Luis Suárez denied the Footballer of the Year award, but Touré has nonetheless scored nine goals in twenty-six appearances this season for City.

His performances during the autumn raised doubt over his long-term future at the club, but in recent weeks, Touré has once again emerged as a crucial element of Pellegrini’s team.

And with City due to face Arsenal and Chelsea this month while Touré is away, his absence could yet prove costly.

Without Touré, City lack the power from midfield which has driven the club to two Premier League titles.

Frank Lampard’s goals have been an unexpected bonus, but at 36, he cannot perform the Touré role, while Fernandinho has struggled to perform as he did in his debut season last season.

Fernando, the holding midfielder signed from Porto last summer, has proven to be inconsistent, with high quality opponents capitalising on his limited ability with the ball.

Just when Touré is returning to his best, he could be missing until after the Cup of Nations final on February 8.

It will be interesting to see how City’s ambitions look when he returns. "

What he does fail to say is,that Yaya didn't play against Munich or Roma.
Ogden is just a prick and pretty much knows he's winding City fans up.

He's more to be pitied than anything else, frankly.

He is a long way second best to Henry Winter in pretty much every way - his writing is a long way second best, he is considerably less intelligent, and he knows a lot less about football on and off the field. I hope he is not an ambitious man because if he is, his abilities are going to let him down. As it is, I would imagine that goading City fans when he has to write about a club he rarely if ever has a good word for is about as good as it is ever going to get for him.

Speaking for myself, I would much sooner read a blog from the Swiss Ramble than anything Mark Ogden - a professional journalist - has written.

I see that more as the thoughts of an optimistic red which he is.
Fernandinho has bucked up, this is old news and many reporters do this, robbie savage is still wittering on about our "terrible defense" probably.
Fernando has got his shit together also, again generic views of the masses who have not watched us properly.

Sorry Mark, we are not dependent on Yaya at all mate so we will see but i would not put money on your position bud.

Now even when it comes to our Youth teams we are 'MoneyBags City'

I wonder how much Chelseas and Utd pay their youth team players and are they constantly referred to as 'MoneyBags' clubs ?

I wouldn't pay to much attention to a paper from a town that needs specialized keyboards to account for the 6-7 fingers.

Note: i am bitter about coventry still staying up and us going down, yeah "that down" that was the start of the worst "down" ever, cunts!
