The Anti Supporters Club

But how can anyone in the OSC hierarchy call out the delivery of that letter after KP's very public spat with Pep a few years back? That was ten times worse
Yes two wrongs 100% make a right.

In your opinion
Well Obviously. That is nowhere near as funny a put-down as you think.

I think that, and I am happy to say what I think. So you can bet to fuck there are others that think that way too. Not that anyone ever seems to care. Which is fine, but then so is my pointing out the irony there, the letter and the ocs response are literally one and the same. Or two cheeks, sides of the same coin etc.

I don't agree. I feel we need to cross boundaries. We tried to do it the "professional" way for a decade and got nowhere. Pep is a good escalation. Personally I'd be targeting Sheikh Mansour and the legacy of Sheikh Zayed. Specifically mentioning him, calling it a betrayal of his values in full view of the world. That would solve this shit tomorrow.

And I don't care who I offend in terms of hierarchy. I'll be here long after they've gone.
Yes well that is evident.

And I find that disappointing.

Spot on.

I would like to see us go back to season ticket holders and pay on the gate. Reserve ticketed blocks for ST holders and ticket holders the rest pay on the gate ( card payments). Then people like my lad who can’t always book in advance can get in. I think they’d fill the ground if they didn’t make us work so hard to get tickets all the time.

Did you see my post regarding actually queuing for tickets mate? Let's say 20,000 go on open sale and you had to queue for those tickets with a supporters number etc, the idea isn't perfect but there has to be a solution where a family can get tickets before they sign in with a citizens matchday membership and tickets just don't filter down to those members in the big game cases.

I know and appreciate that people don't want to queue but there has to be a way to get face value cheap tickets that doesn't involve giving the club a way to just say there isn't any left, all the non season ticket tickets have been squirrelled away for hospitality packages and people who will pay over the odds and guarantee themselves tickets by virtue of their financial means.
Apologies, I didn't see your post and agree with everything you've said here.

I suppose my point is that there is no perfect solution to ticket distribution here. The club needs to satisfy all sides.

People writing open letters, claiming they don't care what anyone thinks of them - getting upset at what people think of them.
So what do you think should be done or are you not arsed? Solutions need to be found not slamming down/taking the piss out of fans trying to help other fans and sort the shit show of how the club are treating fans.

It will be a sterile disney show soon if you do fuck all about the way the club is going.

People can hate the Supporters Club all they want but when things got overheated a few years back, the haters had a big L on their scorecard lol. Nil out of 1 that is.

No one hates the supporters clubs and I know all the charity work done by Reddish blues was brilliant as is the coaches etc to away games and all the other work (you) and they do.

However we all need to be on the same page I think and the club needs a wake up call.

Who decideds what that page is though?

Tim - we’ve never met (to my knowledge!) but on here you always cone across as a very genuine and passionate blue and someone who’s reasonably intelligent.

So surely you of all people should be able to understand that nobody “hates” the OSC. People are just skeptical of their motives and disappointed that they have decided to publicly call out a grassroots fan group who are trying to lobby on behalf of ordinary fans.

Your post just makes people like me who’ve never felt the murky parish council vibe of OSCs welcoming, feel even further detached from joining one.

People don’t hate the OSC. They dislike the way it is being run. It is a closed shop. Run by a small group of OSC members, who know each other, and who aren’t answerable to the OSC membership. They make the decisions without consulting the OSC membership.

At the end of this season Kevin Parker should step down as the OSC - City Matters Rep, and a OSC member from a list of OSC members should be voted for as the OSC - City Matters Rep by the OSC membership in time for next season.

As the OSC General Secretary, Kevin Parker should not be the OSC - City Matters Rep as well.
