I fear for the sanity of anyone who genuinely thinks we're about to sign Lionel Messi.
Just took this picture of Messi and Fabregas standing around near Deansgate Locks...

@Ric do you know the bearded man? The bearded man? The bearded man? Do you know the bearded man? I'm going to go insane.

Well that's dissapointing. Guess I'll go and get wrecked and come back in a week to see what the fuss was about.

I doubt it's Lloris. Anyway trying to sign Lloris from Spurs would be extremely difficult and expensive. Levy is a difficult negotiator and would prefer to keep an unhappy player unless his price is met.

The Xmas videos suggest, as many have said, that all of our Xmases are coming at once. But what about the Peter Sarstedt video? Where do you go to my lovely? A song that mentions the Rolling Stones, The Aga Khan, has lots of French references and is written about a girl who grew up on the mean streets of Naples?

"You know the Aga Khan, he gave you a racehorse for Christmas..."

The Aga Khan is a prominent Muslim and there is a racehorse called Messi. ;-)

Just some thoughts why I think it's Gareth Bale - been a lot of rumours that his partner is very unhappy in Spain, is homesick and wants to return to UK - perhaps Tolmie is alluding to that as below :-

1) Saviour's Day Lyrics

Many have come from the valleys
Many have come from the hills
Many have started their journey home
To be with someone, with someone
On the Saviour's Day

2) Stop the Cavalry Lyrics

Wish I was at home for Christmas
Wish I could be dancing now
In the arms of the girl I love

3) I Believe in Father Christmas Lyrics

I wish you a hopeful Christmas
I wish you a brave new year
All anguish, pain and sadness
Leave your heart and let your road be clear

Wizzard reference could be to do with the following Wikipedia entry below :-

And of course we all know that Gareth did the London Beat at Spurs and that when it comes down to it - Dirty Cash (Money Talks) as proved by a previous world record transfer.

Probably 2 and 2 making 5 but you never know !!!
