Nothing mate...Peres missed training yesterday for personal reasons so maybe a deal is close and Everton has bid for a CB, so maybe Stone deals is close....but all guess work at this point....

Ah as you were then. Come city lets get one over the line. Not flapping just a bit bored and need a city fix!

That's what I was going off of.

We need play this long Torino are taking the piss. We have offered them a good price but they want our trousers down. Give it a week and the greedy bastards wil be back at the table. You can't negotiate with fraudsters - you need to say no and be prepared to mean no.

Such a strange market right now.

Pelle just left the Saints for China, the MLS is apparently attempting to sign mid-tier players in their late 20's as marquee signings, and United is paying 100 million euro for a player that they could have kept for free (and who looks to be worth perhaps around 40 million, based entirely on potential otherwise it would be lower judging by his overall performance in the Euros).

Never get this, surely Torino wouldn't be doing their job if they didn't get the maximum possible from us. Why should they take our lowest offers ?

'cos they like us and had a Manchester City inspired away kit a few years ago?

No but really, £2m more for a youngish player is hardly a risk financially. Unless that £2m affects our budget for bigger buys - even then, we can pay it off as instalments.

They're a good club, maybe we could do some developmental deal with them? They're probably too big to be a proper feeder club for youngsters, but maybe some kid of relationship whereby we loan them our youngsters and they have an incentive to be committed to their development whilst on loan (i.e. play regularly)?

I'm not saying they should take a low offer but there's some evidence they they are moving the offer upwards during the negotiation. If they say what they want for the player we can offer that and get the player or offer a lower figure and let Torino decide. What we can't allow (and it's only speculation that this is happening here) is agree to pay the going rate only for the selling club to increase their demands after we have agreed to their original valuation.
