This is my point. Pep is without a doubt the world's best manager but even he'll have his hands full with these players as it is. What baffles me is how once the season ends everyone seemingly forgets a players woeful season and puts blind faith that they'll become brilliant. It happens every year with Nasri, Yaya and Kolarov.
To be fair though, you don't seem to rate any of the players we have, save for Fernando. Whoever we buy, I would have thought you'd have turned on them by January, no doubt in the hope we can buy another 5/6 in that window.
We've got a squad full of internationals, age groups from U-20 down who are winning everything and a new manager who seems to make average players good and good players great. Combine that with the 2-3 great players we already have, 2/3 new signings and it's going to be a great season in 16/17. Try and see the positives for once and enjoy the ride.

In his defence there are players who simply aren't good enough, such as mangala, navas, bony, kolarov, Fernando and delph to name a few

I think the intensity levels will be much higher with Pep, we will see an improvement in the pressing as a team which last season was non existent. All the players in the team (from the training videos) seemed excited with the new manager and they should. To be honest if we put an real size pic of Pep on the bench would motivate the players better than having Pellers on the bench. having Pep as a manager will make a huge difference in the team performance. But as someone said before, we should bring the players he wants if we want to compete fairly.

Do not want to distract but cannot see a more appropriate thread.

I know we are all biased, especially me, but I would appreciate a few views on how people think that we will end up this season - in a direct comparison to the scum. Each year I tend to have a (for me) major punt on the points difference with a major spread betting company. I even managed to win last year with us giving the scum 5 points start - because I sold the bet at Xmas.

This coming season I am being offered 1.5 points start that City have to give the scum and I think that is a cracking bet - but the price is only held for 24 hours.

I think it is a cracking bet because not only hve we got Pep, but we will likely have Stones, and hopefully Vinny back and therefore our defence might show big improvement. Then we have our midfield - Gundogan I think will be a star, KDB will have a better season and then we have 'new players' in Silva and Nasri - they were absent last year and perhaps we could get another 'special player' (fuck me I would love Kroos). Then our forwards - Sergio I hope will have a better year not just because of injuries, but because he will be getting better link up, support and supply from midfield. I am no fan of Sterling but he will either improve or there will be Nolito to replace him in a a mix with Sane.

Yes, I know they have also made some good signings, but I am feeling very positive and I can see us many points ahead of those fuckers. Any views on the points difference from fellow Bluemooners? I am tempted to have a big slap on this.

Depends on your odds.

I would say that we will finish 3 points minimum ahead.
