I've gambled professionally for over a decade. I'm sure you know how it works. It's a good bet, maybe even good enough to fire more than you usually do comparative to your bankroll. Don't ever risk your bankroll on something that looks amazing. EVER. There's a reason the line is what it is. Slightly over your standard if it looks good but never over your head.

The exception is if it's recreationally and not for serious long term profit. You might be aware but posting to help a blue in case.

Thanks - so I take it from this that you also think a spread bed where we are offered at 1.5 points ahead of the scum is actually a bet that I should consider to put on at least as much as I normally do each year - that is my reasoning. I am used to large wagers and look for where the odds just do not seem right to me - but of course with CITY I can be accused of having the blue tinted specs on

consider the negatives first:

1) Transfer window is open for many weeks. There might be big moves which could change the outlook

2) Likelihood of bigger change at City. Mourinho knows the Premiership. And his set up is nothing radical. Pep may go for bigger change that maybe higher risk. 3 at the back and or a high pressing team which might take time to get right. Recall that Pochettino's Spurs to years to get their new manager's ideas

Lets hope that Pep doesn't do a Pochettino spending two years producing a team that goes and shits itself at the crucial moment even after getting a huge helping hand from Mr. CrappenBurg!!

Who claimed they had info that there were going to be 6 signings almost straight after the euros... think they were slightly off

No problem. Yea for sure I think it's good enough to place your normal wager on. I would be tempted to go higher but not by much. What if they land Pogba? What if Kun or KDB get hurt? What if it takes Pep a year to get the right feel? These are the questions I'd ask myself that steers me away from a massive bet. I take a conservative approach though. It's an educated guessing game and as much art as science. 1.5 does seem like it should be easy though :)

Thanks - I will go for the same as I did last year - big by normal standards but within what I see as a sensible risk.

Yeah, they may buy Pogba - actually Pigsticker was a worry for me - he looked a different player at the Euro16 comp and they have bought quite shrewdly.

But of course we might have a big signing -we sign Kroos for example and we will cruise it
