He's confident and is a goalscorer but needs to improve on the basics

What more would you seriously want or expect from him? He's a teenager who has been forced by Pellegrini to absolutely work his arse off for a spot as he was only too happy to go back to playing an out of form Bony. The way to keep your place is to score important goals and get the fans backing you, and he's done that brilliantly.

With a little less pressure, there's a little more flexibility for him to get more involved with the build up play. I think we saw that last season in the domestic cup competitions, where he could expect more game time.
 
The overriding sense I get watching Nacho is that unless you play him as a No.9 and keep him around the penalty box, he is still very raw.

He has a very poor first touch and his control is all over the shop.
