What more would you seriously want or expect from him? He's a teenager who has been forced by Pellegrini to absolutely work his arse off for a spot as he was only too happy to go back to playing an out of form Bony. The way to keep your place is to score important goals and get the fans backing you, and he's done that brilliantly.

With a little less pressure, there's a little more flexibility for him to get more involved with the build up play. I think we saw that last season in the domestic cup competitions, where he could expect more game time.
I seriously want and expect the young lad to improve on the basics like first touch control and passing with him being a confident natural goalscorer and with pep's influence I think he will

Itchy and Scratchy will learn tons from Pep, the reality is he has the raw material, he's young and was prepared to work his arse off and eventually force Pelle to give him Bony's spot despite the manager being desperate not to do so.

Pep's going to have to do a lot of work on Kelechi's weaknesses anyway with players he has to make succeed (ie. Sterling) so Kelechi will benefit from that, as well as from the constant rondos and the general football dominated intense training sessions Pep demands day in, day out, so Kelechi will only get better from the sheer amount of practice he'll be asked to put in.

Will he be able to exclusively cover for Kun? I doubt it so early on, but with the Sane's and Sterling's around the squad, there shouldn't be THAT much onus on him. Plus with the Brazilian kid coming in in the winter, added to Nolito, there'll be added goals in the squad anyway.

I don't see us signing another striker this summer and see Kelechi as #2, maybe even #1 in the first few games unless Kun makes huge strides in the next fortnight.

Given the players we have , who we are close to signing & the youngsters we have coming through this is an absolutely fantastic time to be Blue.

Thanks for all the updates Tolm, exciting times to be a blue, especially now with young hungry players and a manager that could actually manage them. Was obvious we lacked fighting spirit and hunger under Manuel, something that I envied for example Spurs for when I watched them.

Have you heard anything about Kroos, Tolm? He would be the cherry on the cake imo

How can you say that when united just blew us out of the water?

Only messin! Very exciting times. ;-)

Some chip shop owners in Bolton are millionaires, some are just overweight !!!!
If the chip shop owner you refer too had been blessed with a bit more pace and height, he could have been one of our leading goal scorers of all time
