Realistically it's either Messi, Neymar, Bale or maybe Lewandowski. Muller isn't an option due to his strained relationship with Pep and I'm not sure we'd smash the world record for him.

Messi - besties with Aguero and a vocal Pep advocate is nice, though I'm not sure Barca would consider it even that he's 29. He just has so much more in the tank that conventional age rules really don't apply here.

Neymar - the perfect storm, but less even likely than Messi because he's so young and ultimately will replace him on the top of the pile. Would love Neymar, don't get me wrong, but it's as ambitious a run on a player as I can imagine.

Bale - can't see any scenario where Madrid goes along with this, they simply don't have to. A run on Pogba wouldn't be worth it and they could literally part ways with anyone, even Ronaldo, first. I'd be hoping for Kroos here instead.

Lewandowski - another Pep admirer, somewhat unhappy over wages at Bayern, it could be possible but would we make a statement like world transfer record smashing with him? I doubt it.

In the end, if it's happening, I could see it being Messi. If it's a choice I'd take Kroos and Aubameyang, but that's another story.

We have to remember that its just an offer. It may not materialise. Really hope we find out who its for though as ot sounds like it will cause uproar

If it comes off, got to be someone from the big three. (Barca ,RM or BM)
Somewhere IBH mentioned the team we are signing from being a wow, (can't find it at moment).
I took that to mean we would be announcing ourselves as one of the big boys.

If I've got this right, it is got to be one of the big players.

Don't think BM, which leaves Barca 3 and Bale (surely not Tranny).

This is all conjecture on my part I KFA.

Nolito is one of them..ill give you that..but that's common knowledge anyway..and I'm not purporting anything most people don't suspect with the other names..but one..if we pull it off..and we are working hard to do just that..will blow your fucking mind

The only players that will blow my mind are Bale, Neymar, and maybe Muller.

If it's Messi, then it's kinda been expected, since our ITK's have been predicting his arrival for 2 summers now.

On second thoughts, i guess it would blow my mind if it's Messi.

Anyone have any ideas who the midfielder could be other than Kroos? If we're looking to just go all out and announce everyone this weekend then surely it's not Kroos. It would eliminate Bale too I would think. That would leave us with Messi, Neymar and I have no idea about the midfielder other than Kante.
Nolito

Your comment makes absolutely no sense. Pep will want someone with a track record in the premier league like he signed Alonso for Bayern ....who had never played in Germany before and had no track record there.

You completely contradicted yourself in a single sentence.
Was on about his age that's why I said over 30 implying age doesn't matter to pep never said alonso had played in Germany before

well @Ric did say a couple of weeks ago that ferran was brought in to work on a transfer and that normally happens when its in the final stages? would like to think we didn't need him for the nolito transfer? hopefully a biggy was in the pipeline and its now ready to be signed off!

Apart from the badge, which is classy, all these shiny new players will be turning out in a kit that looks like it was designed by a 10 year old with a pack of crayons.

I thought this might be fun. Feel free to add your own.

The order I would guess...
1) Messi
2) Bale
3) Neymar
4) Suarez
5) Pogba (Add a surprise if you'd like)
6) Lewandowski
7) Muller

My preference...wasn't as easy as I thought
1) Messi
2) Pogba (My shock pick)
3) Neymar
4) Bale
5) Suarez
6) Muller
7) Lewandowski
