It has to be said. Coincidentally, he'll probably now go and have a stormer against his old club again, which would raise many questions for me. Now that his honeymoon period is well and truely over, unless he's playing his former employers, there's simply no motivation from him at all. He's shocking. The problem we have though is what do we do? If we drop him, we have Santa Cruz as the most likely replacement and that's equivalent to playing with 10 men. Could we perhaps get away with playing Bellamy and Tevez upfront with Robinho on the left? At least it would encourage the back 4 to stop hoofing it. But that would leave us woefully exposed through midfield. Do we go back to what we did when Bellamy first signed and play Bellers up top on his own in a 4-5-1/4-3-3? What do we do? Is it possible to recover the real Adebayor? Or is THIS the real Adebayor? Yet again, i feel we'll be after another striker in the transfer window.

Play to his strengths and we'll see the player we had at the start of the season.

He's never going to be a 110% run all over the place type player, to be honest I don't think we need a team of them.

Just because he is a tall player does not mean he has to win flick ons all day. He is skillfull as fuck and needs the ball on the floor. How hughes can not see this is very strange. Saying that though when your sat down all game it might be hard to see. Ade is a really good player he just needs proper service like at the start of the season.

If we play it to his feet insteaqd of his head, he will be fine, and will prove you wrong, it's the tactics to blame, not Ade.
Maybe you would prefer Barry Conlon back?

Indeed he must be thinking what the fcuk he let himself into, hoofing the ball to him ain't working try passing it to his feet, his distribution is excellent but untill we starting playing like a team that can pass and hold the ball we're gonna struggle.

The last time we won against West Ham, we had Tevez and Bellamy as the forward pairing. I agree that this is worth another shot. I would also play Bellamy as the lone striker against Chelsea in a 4-2-3-1 formation. I think that his pace and work rate will cause more problems to Terry and Carvalho than Adebayor would.

I think that Adebayor is a good player, but his current form at the moment does not warrant a place in the starting line up in my opinion.

He's a better version of Jo, who you didn't give a chance to. Adebayour created space for the likes of Robbie, Tevez, Ireland and SWP to run into yesterday, as Jo did last season when he played.

Please do not hound out another striker because Hughes doesn't know how to play him.

The problem is the manager isn't getting the best out of his star players. Play to their strengths and then you'll see what we have.

I can see why people may have a go at Adebayor but imo he is a top notch player. He is a victim of this long ball shite MH seems to like to play, give Ade the ball to feet and you will see him control it, hold it up, turn defenders and run wide or at goal with pace. He can create space for other players and defenders are shit scared of him.

Quality player imo, he will get 15 goals this season no probs, maybe under a different manager he will get 20+

Mark hughes isnt even getting the best from Gareth Barry, Let alone Ade..or Sweep, Stevie etc and so on and so forth.
