Speaking of wides, hows Harmy these days? Still charging in?

At least it wasn't as tactics from a captain who knows just how shit his bowling attack is. 8 men on the boundary when Bell was batting whilst Siddle had taken 6 wickets? I'm being genuine here, if I was an Aussie I would keep my trap shut. Yesterday was a good day but I reckon it's about as good as it's going to get.
Exactly, I'm happy with today... but definitely not confident.

It's like jagging a goal on the counter to lead 1-0 at half time but the opponents have made your defense look suspect and they've hit the post twice...

tell that to the team of 2006/07, only took 1 ball in that series!

After the way your bowlers bowled for most of the day I wouldn't get too excited just yet.

Perhaps you'll spend another half hour bowling wides?

Excellent assessment and one I totally agree with. Winning in Australia is the hardest thing to do in cricket and there was no way the Aussies were going to just lie down without fighting. They had a good day yesterday but if you compare it to getting us out for little more than a hundred in Cardiff and the other any number of times over the last 20 years where you have totally dominated us, I think 260ao isn't that bad. I think we'll get you for less than 300 then it's game on. If Australia were to win this match though England will be in trouble as the Aussies will have something to hold on to.

Only England v Australia can generate this much interest and be this meaningful after 1 day. Pretty much only one player from either side could say they were on top of their game and the others were left to do a lot of scratching around. No doubt the quality will come and when it does England could find themselves on top.

I got a free bet on the cricket from Paddy Power. So I done Ricky Pointing as the top scorer in the test series got 11/2 on it was the favourite I know fuck all about cricket. Watched a bit of it last night as well. Not my cup of tea but whenever I cant sleep at night and cricket is on I tend to fall asleep.
