Yeah the Irish team in the 90s had a mix of English , Scottish and Irish players but sadly none of them were as good as this lad Morgan who could well end up being 1 of the best players in a couple of years time. While whatever players we got for Ireland for football wasnt good enough to make the England team.

Haha Leighton you're a good guy but you're so biased towards all things green. You're commenting on a cricket player that I don't even think you know the name of whilst you've probably watched less than an hour of cricket. Morgan is a good play, no more no less. I would think he'll get a chance if Colly doesn't shape up but to suggest Morgan is going to be one of the best players is very far-fetched. One day wise he is a great player and does play for England but it remains to be seen if he a real career in test cricket.

And also, the guy who replaced him, Ian Bell, is now our batting hope. He has been sensational since returning to test cricket after being dropped a while back, adding mental strength to his gorgeous technique.

To be honest I have watched a bit of the shorter game and when that lad is on form he is one of the best players to watch. So how come he hasnt got a chance to play at this level I will never understand. As if he can score big scores in the shorter game imagine what he would do in the longer game. Time will tell. Looking at the Aussie team that Doherty lad sounds Irish to me has to have some Irish blood in him.lol.

That's not how it works fella!! The longer game is far harder to master and not always suited to those that can play well in one game games.

It is not that he hasn't got a chance, he is still learning, still young and has a decade ahead of him yet if he chooses.

You are very very very biasd matey.

Oh please some early wickets with the new ball. Prob been said but a 50 or 60 run defecit aint the end of the world.

We'll bowl Aus out half way through the afternoon session for appx 340/350 and be 90-1 by the close

Aussies to reach 325 and England to finish on 110-3 at close of play on day three.

Day four = England all out for 305 (lead of 240) Aussies to finish on 62-1 at close of play.

Day five = Aussies require 179 to win with ten wickets remaining. England bowl Australia out for 174 .

England win test by 4 runs .

Howzat ?
