The lads did brilliantly today (tonight?). The job's only half done though; they've got to try to bat on til tea tomorrow to get a lead of somewhere near-ish 300. Then have a couple of hours at the Aussies. They wouldn't bowl them out in that time, but if they could get 3 or 4 wickets it would send out a nice message to Ponting that England won't just lay down.

Only night I didn't stay up and we do well!
Barring a major batting collaspe the game should really be safe.
Hope we declare in the middle of the afternoon session with a 225-250 lead.

I watched the first hour and thought it was too comfortable and England would start throwing wickets away. Great performance and bat till Tea and the game should be safe and a good draw secured. Hopefully the confidence gained will serve the team in good stead.
