The battle for 3rd place

You mean not underestimating opponents?
Realistic not your thing then?
How often do Arsenal beat United? Not very.
Palace have beaten Chelsea, Liverpool, and put 3 past Arsenal recently. What makes you think they'll be a pushover?
Interested.

Palace have just become pretty much the only team to lose at home to Burnley all season. Their good form was based around Mamadou Sakho single-handedly being responsible for a solid defence, and he's injured.

Mourinho has already said he's playing a B team for Arsenal because of the Europa league.

Palace are geared up for bus parking coupled with power and pace on the counter. Zaha, Puncheon, Benteke et al, thrive away from home against the better teams, but are relatively easy to thwart as a footballing outfit in their own back yard. Whilst you may be right about Sakho, I suspect that both they and Leicester will be very difficult opponents for us.

I can't believe anyone would invest credibility in anything that comes out of Mourinho's mouth. If United field a genuine B team against Arsenal I'll eat my hat

Palace are all but safe and just got beat by Burnley, best rags can get with their injury crisis and prioritising tonight is a draw at Arsenal; which would suit us best
Can't believe how many people saying palace 'nearly safe', they are not safe. At present 42 points is guaranteed safe, nothing less and they're on 38. If Swansea win on Saturday and Palace lose, the gap will be 3 points. They will set up to frustrate us and will be very physical. We need to be at our best we have to win.

If the following happened, we'd have a play-off with the dippers for third. The play-off would thus be to decide who didn't need a play-off to qualify for the group stages of the CL. (They aren't that unlikely, either!)

Manchester City 3 Crystal Palace 2. Liverpool 1 Southampton 0

Manchester City 3 Leicester 1. West Ham 0 Liverpool 2

Manchester City 2 West Bromwich Albion 1. Liverpool 2 Middlesbrough 0
Watford 1 Manchester City 3

You say not that unlikely but if you bet them in a £1 accumulator you would win in the region of £10m so not that likely!

Its in our hands, if we don't get enough points from these 3 home games and a trip to Watford then we don't deserve top 4. Still confident we'll be fine.

No, we wouldn't. They beat us 2-1 on head to head.
