It is absolutely no use wallowing in self pity about this situation, the fact is we are in the here and now fighting for fourth place. It is still in our own hands, win two and the rags can do one, so come on City do it for these loyal blues.

I can feel the ground starting to open beneath our feet. What a hugely disappointing position to be in on the eve of our final home match of the season.

They might have 4 points more but they haven't been 4 points better. Norwich just gave them the game today. No way were they going to win it themselves.

Both City & Utd should be refunding the fans for this season.

There is no defence for this Bill. Three years of regression sadly.

I have supported him, but it now appears year ones success was a continuation of the title winning team built by the previous manager, the players were in place to win the League again. Two League Cups are ok but not the level we are now at. The three years have seen massive underachievement, when we should have been making hay with the best owners and their investments.

Txiki has to now consider the mistake he made when he had to consider a manager to take us forward until we got Pep. He went for a safe option which has sadly backfired, as he has now been found wanting at the highest level as he was at Madrid. They sussed him out after 12 months
 
Wenger saying they want to beat us as it's essential for their summer spending! Stifle our slow predictable play/ no movement style and counter the fuck out of us.
 
A draw or loss tomorrow and Pellegrini basically holds a huge team talk for United for them to take 4th.

Our form against top8 sides are very clear and its not bad luck, bad fate etc, its coming down to preparation, gameplan, tactics, mentality, motivation, a manager has huge role in all of these.

I wouldnt be surprised if we hardly test Cech or Ospina tomorrow after this but would concede a few chances trough fast counters after they press the hell out of us.
 
1 win in 14 games against top 8.

I think we need to chill a bit here. Our team is in the latter stages of decay and it's quite likely we will miss out on the CL which will be disappointing.

But the joy I feel that finally the uninspiring, tactically inept, passionless Pellegrini is being fucked off, albeit 18 months to late, more than compensates especially as the man replacing him is Pep. And I think for most of us regaining the League next season is the number one priority.
 
I would have preferred us to have not got as far in the League Cup in exchange for securing top four.

If not us then let it be West Ham. Do not gift Utd £50 million when they are struggling.
