The Best Beatles song

Happuiness is a warm gun
Hello Goodbye
Half of Abbey Road

My ultimate fave is Sexy Sadie from White Album...

Oh and A Day in the Life...Ringo does himself proud on that!

When I was a child it was Yellow Submarine.

When I was a teenager it was Norwegian Wood.

Now it is either Eleanor Rigby or A Day in The Life.

I think their genius was in the way they progressed so incredibly quickly. So much diversity (that I don't think will ever be emulated), and all of it so completely Top Notch. Such a powerful force of energy and creativity that is hard to find fault with. I doubt we will ever see the like again in all honesty.

Was reading something the other day where someone reckoned the Stones were better than the Beatles (I like the Stones btw) simply because they were the Rebels where The Beatles were the stuff of Mainstream.

The fact is that The Beatles came from a much more working class background and even in their later songs you still find the echoes of their longings for home and the life they had.
