The best City performance you have ever seen?

Remember when we beat Portsmouth 6-0?

Was buzzing with hope and excitment after that game.
- Robinho on his second game for us running the show with Elano.
- New signing Jo opening his premier league account for us then swiftly closing it.
- SWP continuing his awesome return form.
- Ireland making us think we had a potential world class talent on our hands.
- Ched Evans scoring the 5th, his career and life went downhill from there.

Then going on to win 2 of the next 13 games. So it was a fluke but we were amazing that day.

There was a 2 0 win at elland road, think it was a Boxing Day maybe 1976, Leeds were a great side then and we absolutely battered them for 90 mins

2nd half of the kings comeback v Newcastle will always be my best memory of my early years watching city

Will never forget it

The 5-1 win away at Spurs in 2014 is one of the best. The first half was an absolute masterclass from City, especially Silva. The 1-0 v Arsenal in 2011-12 was an excellent game technically, hardly a wasted pass from either side. The 1-0 v the Rags is probably the most controlled performance I've seen from City, we absolutely throttled the life out of them but I didn't appreciate it at the time being so nervous.

Last night has got to be up there as they're probably the best opposition we've ever beaten. The fact we did it by coming from behind and playing the better football - as opposed to parking the bus and hanging on - demonstrates the quality of the football. They may have been without Iniesta, Pique and Alba but its worth bearing in mind that if we're missing arguably the best centre-half in Europe at the peak of his career.

The 5-1 in 2014 was similar to the 5-1 Ballet on Ice in 67/68 as both games demonstrated a step change in the quality of the team. Both wins dramatically altered perceptions of City and what could be achieved.

Hopefully Tuesday's win will eventually be seen in similar terms.

Seen some great performances in my 50 years (!) - a lot have been mentioned here.

But one that stands out for me for pure professionalism was Newcastle away in the penultimate game of 2011/12 season.

We needed to go there and win - and boy was I doubting us - I was wrong we went there and did the job good and proper from 1 to 11.....

Very proud to be a City fan that evening

Since the takeover, the games that took us up a level in confidence and belief are the 4-1 defeat of Arsenal(where a certain chap ran the length of the pitch to the anger of his former fans).Lickle City beating Arsenal. The FA Cup. Semi v the rags and Yaya,s winning goal,Lickle City beating the rags at Wembley in a semi-final.well who would believe that.Vincent Kompany with a towering header to beat the rags in the run uptowinning the League. Then for a further boost in the confidence,Tuesday night 3-1 win could and should have been more,we are talking Barca, the best team in the world for the last 10 plus years, and lickle City whooped their arses.
