Britain's nightlife is the best in the world. My night is ruined if I have to listen to shit music in a bar that I go in. But in Britain, you can be listening to techno in one bar/club, and if you don't like it, go to the place next door and listen to disco, or maybe chart music, or maybe jazz etc.
I think the town planning in places like Australia, America (I suppose Vegas is alright for a week) probably doesn't lend itself to that since the city centres are so big. And non-English speaking countries don't listen to good music either, so on a night out, there's nowhere I'd rather be than in England.
But as for general city living, England is nothing compared to other European cities, mainly because of transport. In many cities in Germany, the underground is free, or in Amsterdam, you can get pretty much anywhere on a bike without having to worry about being mowed down by someone in the middle of a snapchat. Both of those places have some decent brothels as well unlike England.
There's also probably not the same scrotey, dangerous dog culture in other European countries. In all the times I've been to Germany, I've never seen a pitbull and I'm yet to see any dogshit on the pavement. I was reading in the M.E.N the other day that Salford is the U.K. capital for people being hospitalised from dog attacks. That is probably the main reason why I don't like England - too many loud cunts letting their dogs bark all day, not giving a fuck about people who want some peace and quiet. It wasn't surprising that the worst places for dog attacks were the poorer parts of England. So I think, if your from a lower-income background and enjoy peace and quiet, you have to buy it, which is made harder by the class system in this country (which is getting better I think).
The other thing that England has over all the other anglophonic countries is the football. But again we're nowhere near the best country in the world for it (compared to other European countries) since the English model of all seater stadia and extortionate ticket prices have made watching football a relatively sterile experience. Germany shows that rinsing the fans out of their disposable income is not necessary to watch good football given that Bayern are arguably the best team in the world.
I think the 'work/life' is probably too demanding in England as well (London especially); I think a four day working week would be better.
But I suppose we have an okay political system and body-of-law in this country (by global standards), and we can be thankful that it's not completely fucked up like in America.
In European terms though, I think there are better European countries, but I suppose we can be fortunate that English is our first language.
But if you asked me where I wish I was brought up, I would probably say Italy (for the weather/football/culture) despite their political failings.
