The best Hotel you've stayed in?

Stayed in many hotels overseas and whatnot, but the Lowry was nice for a Valentines weekend a couple of years ago as I couldn't get out of town. Smashed her back doors in, but I had to pay for it to some tune.

I stayed in a junior sweet there a few years back and found it very contemporary and MEH! Tbh.

Yeah, fair enough. It was a massive suite but I live in Salford so there was only so much of the Irwell I could look at. We went out round town (which we do every weekend anyway), and then paid £120 for a couple of snacks and a couple of bottles of wine. The more I think about it the more ripped off I feel.

I might bring it up with her now and have a massive row.

Too many "massive"'s in that.

The Peabody in Memphis. It is called the northern tip of the Mississippi delta because so many early blues players were recorded in its rooms by record company scouts. From there I strolled down to the Mississippi and 'washed my hands in muddy waters.' Very special.

Baros in the Maldives

Staff outnumber guests 3-1

Has it's own coral reef, fresh fish caught there everyday for dinner

Cocktails at 5.30 overlooking the Indian ocean as the sun goes down

No kids

10 mins to walk round the whole island

Private jetty down to the ocean with a day bed

Heaven on earth

I get to stay in some pretty rank hotels through work but on the odd occasion i land a beauty.

Judges Country House Hotel at Kirklevington Hall, mear Middlesborough was great. The food was top notch and i had my own goldfish.

The Peacock Hotel in Rowsley, just outside Bakewell is also a very nice place to stay. The food was bloody lovely.
