For a tenner you can get Ravenswood Old Vine Zinfandel, bang for buck the best I have drank recently
Is there a topic on this?
Trivento Golden Reserve Malbec is clearly the best.
It's Argentinian for a start!!!
I challenge anyone to come up with a better wine on a 'bang for buck' basis.
(That's WINE...not Whine)!!!
Is that the 'Post Trump inauguration' drink of choice?I've got some 2005 Bordeaux resting down in the bomb shelter.
'Chilean Malbec'!!!!! Heresy...People have been hung for less!!I shall take up of this challenge good knight and play your Trivento Malbec with a cheeky little number from the th'asda stable.
It won the best in the world in the under £15 section.
You may weep when you taste it and this is perfectly normal.
The price has increased @£5.75 for the moment which May or May not be due to my good ladies no nonesense rhetoric and fine Britisher stoichsism that defines us as the bedrock of modern day civilizations. You need us more than we need you and the worlds shall be our oyster.
This Malbec is derived from the foothills of Chilly and not a Le sniff of a eurozone.
We shall drink Malbec whilst Brussels fiddles.

Good Malbec is clearly of Argentinean pedigree (unless Bravo ups his game and Sanchez signs, in which case Chile is allowed in the 'honourable mention' category?)
Anyway, I shall give this a try, even though you quote Asda and the Mirror. However, I fear your challenge is destined to failure.
I was never a red wine drinker until I spent an extended time in France. Just takes a while for your palate to convert from Lager. Once done, there's no going backI tried getting into red wine, it's not for me though. I even joined Laithwaites wine club sampling some of their quality small vineyard bottles of(mostly) reds. Ordering a dozen bottles from them worked out a very reasonable average of £6-50 a bottle. Bigfoot reckons the same quality from a supermarket is £12 plus and she's a wine connoisseur.
Mr Mania. You make a good case, and I will certainly be giving it a try.Mr peg It won best in the world have a read of the http I added.
Best in the world and priced at £5.75 ..mais oui
Wine of Valle Central, Chile. 2016 Decanter World Wine Awards Platinum 95 points - Best in Show.
Your quoting of the alcohol % is a faux pas and results in immediate disqualification.Lidl Pinotage, £3.79 14.5% tastes ok as well ;-)
