For £10 "The Wanted Zin" from Morrisons is great stuff.

Recomend it, and I wait till they put it on offer then get a couple of cases, sometimes £6.99 well worth the saving.

Indeed. Their Piccini Memoro red is damned fine too and that's normally £8 or £9 but you often find it for £6, which is a steal. I stock up on that likewise.

Just had a bottle of this:

Only just got into red wine this past Christmas after drinking some wine that all the guests leave behind. I can't drink much more than one bottle of red. Where does the above wine rank overall? I'd happily seek out more red and explore a bit.....and pay a bit more :)

I like red wine but I'm not a connoisseur by any stretch of the imagination. However, I have tried Blossom Hill in the past and found it to be horrible.

Cabs and red blends from the Stags Leap district of Napa Valley are our fave. Went a couple of years ago and stuffed all the clothing into one suitcase so that I could fill the other one with red wine. It's all about priorities...

For a cheap bottle of red or white, the Morrissons own brand stuff is decent. £4.25 and they do a Shiraz, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauv Blanc etc.
