The Bluemoon Song Cup 2023

One man's obscure is another man's mainstream. We could have all picked something that everyone had heard but to be honest that would have been pretty boring. Some just picked songs they liked by artists they liked not necessarily to win but maybe getting people to listen to something slightly different. Nothing wrong with that
I picked 5 that matched the criteria AND I had been listening to during the week.

My 5th pick is a prime example of this. Popped up on YouTube during the week much to my excitement. Hadn't heard it in years.

I'm enjoying that I've been unfamiliar with quite a few choices so far. Regardless of if I've liked them or not, it's better than a poll/comp rammed with predictability.

My choices were omitted due to a technical malfunction. If yours were as well we could have an unsactioned bare knuckle fight!

As the man who brought us Rodriguez this is an outrage! If we'd have known earlier we could have piled in on BH until he accepted your nominations :-)
The technical malfunction being that they were never sent and you had to blame the computer?

The criteria was Top 10 hit/Female/Song after 2000/2 personal favorites.

That's why there's such a good (obscure) selection in the pot.
Agreed, I think the mix has been excellent so far.
There is of course nothing to stop it being run again and again, with completely different criteria each time, to see what people come up with.

You might have a gig for life here :-)
