One man's obscure is another man's mainstream. We could have all picked something that everyone had heard but to be honest that would have been pretty boring. Some just picked songs they liked by artists they liked not necessarily to win but maybe getting people to listen to something slightly different. Nothing wrong with that
I'm enjoying that I've been unfamiliar with quite a few choices so far. Regardless of if I've liked them or not, it's better than a poll/comp rammed with predictability.

Very appropriate because Gareth Southgate's choice of players and tactics has a similar resultIf @BlueHammer85 's choice of prize didn't convince people it was for chuckles then nothing will.

Agreed, I think the mix has been excellent so far.The criteria was Top 10 hit/Female/Song after 2000/2 personal favorites.
That's why there's such a good (obscure) selection in the pot.
There is of course nothing to stop it being run again and again, with completely different criteria each time, to see what people come up with.
You might have a gig for life here :-)
