You know when a fly gets in your house and you take ten minutes running around to try to kill it but it keeps escaping until finally you smack it with a rolled-up old newspaper? The fly is this absolutely god-awful Kate Bush song, and hopefully this kind-of-average Oasis song is the newspaper.
It’s all relative. I like a number of their songs better. It’s not average compared to songs generally — I like it.C’mon, Live Forever is better than ‘kind-of-average’ , it’s Noel’s finest lyrically, Liam vocal peak, drum intro, guitar solo and killer outro. As Noel says it was the song that changed everything for Oasis.

The trouble is the Kate Bush number is the same. Average. How did both of these get this far?
