Beat This Charming Man and Pink Floyd's Time in earlier rounds. Not exactly easy draws.

I think BOTW is one of those songs that you fall instantly in love with but then the more you hear it the more cloying it gets. I still like it but not as much as I did years ago.

Shame The Charlatans are probably going out here. Of all the tunes in the competition this is the one where I was like, "Oh man -- I haven't heard that song in forever and I forgot how much I like it." Right to my Spotify list and I've been playing it a lot recently. They're actually playing here Jan 4 -- I may go and see them.

Much as I love TOOIK and it brings back so many happy memories I just cannot see past S&G's offering here.
When I listen to The Boxer I think of it as a song that has been crafted. The whole package fits together, the lyrics, the harmonies. Whether a live version or studio version it shows how good S&G were...although that live version misses out those wonderful "drum crash".
 
Surprised at the score so far in this (36-9 at time of writing) as I thought it would be closer

Makes me wonder if people vote for a song because they genuinely like it, or vote for a song because they dislike the other??

Obviously it's down to any individula how they choose to vote, but I only say this as earlier in the competition so many people were singing the praises of TOOIK

I love them both but The Boxer is an all-time favo(u)rite for me and been I song I’ve loved for over 50 years. I’d vote Charlatans against a lot of the other competitors.

I vote for the song I prefer, regardless of whether I like it or not. In this round I like both but prefer The Boxer so voted for that. I had previously voted for both songs in earlier rounds.
