Totally disagree! beautiful song.

Unfortunately always gets murdered on x factor type of shows.
The last beautiful song they did was "40", made more beautiful by the fact that they ripped the lyrics from a psalm more or less.

IMO of course.

But TBF white male Yanks of my age who went to middle-class Catholic schools filled with Irish kids and who were on board right away with Boy think the band went down the tubes musically after Rattle and Hum.

I personally would make an exception for "Beautiful Day" and other parts of ATYCLB.

I've seen them live more than any other band. That's because I never missed a show in the 80s! And then got dragged to some others afterwards. My neighbo(u)r and friend is President of their local (or California, I forget) fan club. His random encounter with The Edge at some NYC restaurant is literally the most important moment of his life. Which is touching actually -- when he talks about it, it's like he was blessed by a saint.

Lucky man, i've always wanted to see them. Not to fussed nowadays mind. love U2, Get a lot of stick but think they're one of the most consistent rock bands ever.
