Is this the main card tonight then as i see an event on boxnation also. If one were to put the boxing on for their friends for example. Which would the boxing fans want to see more?
 
Yep, was a great fight and a classic example of how champions hang on in and find a way.

Yarde was looking very strong up until round 8. Kovalev had been landing regular jabs and follow ups all through - lots of point scoring, but looked gassed in terms of power in round 7.

Yarde should have finished him then, but allowed him to recover in 8 and 9. Kov continued to score and at that point Yarde, though still tanking the shots fairly comfortably began to mouth breathe. He was still getting constantly tagged and had swelling above right eye then started to look slow in his shots from 8/9 and in 10 noticeably slowed overall.

At that point Kovalev came back with constant connecting head shots and it was just a matter of time before he took Yarde down.
 
Both hanging at different points of the fight but Yarde totally shot his bolt in trying to get Kov out of there on R8.
Can’t imagine there will be a rematch but Yarde would likely win it unless this fight has broken his heart.
 
Time to wake this thread up again.

Tomorrow on Sky Box Office No 1 P4P Lomachennko takes on Luke Campbell at the O2. Should be a good scrap with Campbell a worthy opponent for the Champ.
Undercard ain’t bad either.

Campbell will put up a good fight for 3/4 rounds but he'll get knocked out in the end. Cracking undercard for this one, fancy Hughie to beat povetkin and Charlie Edwards and Buatsi are always a good watch. Looking forward to it.

Edit: Just had a look on Bet365 to look at the odds and noticed Ritson was the favourite v Robbie Davies Jnr? That is mental, some people will clean up on that. Scousers will love those odds.

Can't disagree with anything you've said but I think that the end of the main event will not come until the last few rounds.
11th round stoppage for me.
