So, rumours that Floyd was doping. People believing his accusation of Manny doping to be bollocks.

As soon as Manny is accused of this, he goes on to lose his next 2 fights.

Also, why would Floyd campaign for more stringent doping tests if he was doping himself.

Tbh, I doesn't matter if Manny is doping anyway. Floyd would still school him over 12.
Manny won 4 fights I think when this was all rumbling on. Offered Mayweather the fight with Olympic style dope testing $50 million a piece and it was turned down.
I would not be surprised if doping was manic in boxing as the testing is no where near as stringent as most sports

I don't recall Pacquaio offering a 50/50 split ALONG with Olympic style doping.

However, I do recall Floyd offering a "Winner takes all" purse along with the Olympic Style testing.

That, to me, shows us who really wants the fight. I dont for one minute think Floyd has dodged Pacquaio, for the very reason I think he'd school him. JMM is a counter puncher and has more than matched Manny over the 4 fights. Floyd schooled JMM with consumate ease over 12 rounds.

Well what we hear and what happens I believe are 2 different things in bent boxing land. Both camps have claimed lots of stuff and if we think one is doping than both must be if that story is to be believed. I think Manny/Mayweather would be a good fight. In no way would Mayweather school Manny. In any event it wont happen and I think Manny will retire now, I would retire from life with the shot he took on Saturday

Whilst I appreciate that Boxing doesn't always work this way, what makes you think Manny would have a chance* against a guy who absolutely schooled a similar fighter who has caused nothing but problems in the ring for Manny?

*When I say chance, I mean more than a puncher's chance.

On Thursday, during an appearance on ESPN2's "First Take," Pacquiao said he is willing to give Mayweather the bigger slice of the pie.

Pacquiao was appearing in the Bristol, Conn., studio with Juan Manuel Marquez (54-6-1, 39 KOs). They are in the midst of a tour promoting their welterweight showdown on Dec. 8 (HBO PPV) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, but much of the conversation Thursday centered on a potential Pacquiao-Mayweather fight.

"I'm waiting for that fight to happen," said Pacquiao, boxing's only eight-division world champion. "I don't know what's the reason why that fight has not happened. ... It's OK for me if he gets a higher percentage than me."

In January, Mayweather (43-0, 26 KOs), a five-division champion, and Pacquiao (54-4-2, 38 KOs) spoke on the phone about a possible deal during which Mayweather offered to pay him a flat fee of $40 million for a proposed fight but would not allow him to share in the revenue. In the original negotiation, Mayweather agreed to a 50-50 split.

"I spoke to Floyd ... and he offered me an amount," Pacquiao said. "He didn't talk about the pay-per-views here and that's it. I can't agree with that. I told him I agree with 55 and 45 (split)."

The other issue that has prevented the fight -- and there have been multiple failed negotiations -- was Mayweather's demand for random blood and urine testing throughout the build-up to the bout. During the first negotiation, Pacquiao at first declined to participate in such testing but has long said he would agree.

He reiterated that during Thursday's interview.

"No problem," Pacquiao said. "Whatever he wants to do."

Even when Pacquiao previously had softened his stance on random testing, there was still an issue about doing a blood test on the day of the fight. But Pacquiao said Thursday he now would be OK with that, too.

"No problem," he said. "Even the night of the fight. No problem."

When did Mayweather make this 'winner takes all' offer? Because I've not heard about it and it sounds like something he would never do.

Boxing has never really worked on the he beat him and he lost therefore he is better. Technically Manny beat Marquez 3 times (very technically) and lost once. Yes he caused him problems but although similar techniques Mayweather and Marquez are very different in styles

Apologies. It seems I've made the mistake of misreading and wasn't Floyd who proposed it.

Do you believe Floyd has/is ducking Manny?

I always used to think that Floyd was ducking Manny but im pretty sure now that a couple of years ago Pacquaio was using something because since all that about the drug testing was brought up Manny seems to have gotten a hell of a lot worse! Having watched them he still appears to have the speed but I think he's lost a bit of power and a bit of stamina, he struggles towards the end of fights, then again that could be to do with his age!

I think Floyd would comfortably win on points though if they did fight.

I reckon both sides have contributed towards the fight not being made at one time or another. My interest in it peaked a while ago, I wanted to see them fight when Pacquiao was fresh off his demolition of Cotto about 3 years ago.

I'd just as happily see Pacquiao/JMM 5 and Mayweather/Martinez instead now. Although the latter will probably not materialize either.

These quotes can be thrown up all day - they mean fuck all when manny states "i'll do whatever it takes", what do you expect him to say in public??

The only argument that matters is who's the superior boxer?? no contest whatsoever
