I always used to think that Floyd was ducking Manny but im pretty sure now that a couple of years ago Pacquaio was using something because since all that about the drug testing was brought up Manny seems to have gotten a hell of a lot worse! Having watched them he still appears to have the speed but I think he's lost a bit of power and a bit of stamina, he struggles towards the end of fights, then again that could be to do with his age!

I think Floyd would comfortably win on points though if they did fight.

Which fights mate?

I thought he got better as the Margarito/Mosley fights went on and the Bradley fight was just a sustained 12 rounds of him outworking and outlanding his opponent.

That Bradley win is one of the biggest disgraces I have ever seen

These quotes can be thrown up all day - they mean fuck all when manny states "i'll do whatever it takes", what do you expect him to say in public??

The only argument that matters is who's the superior boxer?? no contest whatsoever
He could have said "talk to my promoter about it" like he and Mayweather have said in interviews in the past.

Mayweather is the better boxer, but if he never gets in the ring and shows his skills then who cares? A year long wait to watch him beat up on Robert Guerrero, great.

-- 12 Dec 2012, 11:22 --

Probably the worst decision I've ever seen.

I remember seeing Mayweather fans claiming it was the right decision after the fight, made for embarrassing reading.

There's too much he said she said bullshit regarding making fights in boxing and nobody bar the protagonists really knows what's going on so it's daft to discuss it really.

At the end of the day if Floyd really wanted to fight Manny and Manny really wanted to fight Floyd then it would've happened so they're both to blame.

At their respective peaks Floyd would've been too good, too slick, too nimble on his feet for Manny and would've won a wide decision.

Now though with them both on the slide it could make for a much more fan friendly fight. Against Cotto, Floyd showed vulnerability to getting caught that we hadn't seen before and with his various lifestyle issues taking a toll as he gets older it's conceivable that if Manny puts aside his politics bullshit and focuses on fighting that he could put Floyd under some real pressure if they fought

The big question is whether JMM's knockout was down to his new found power or is Manny's punch resistance gone and what psychological impact being knocked stone cold out has on him.

The fight I'd love to see is Floyd v Canelo but Canelo aint gettin any smaller so that fight has to be made very soon or he'll be moving up to middleweight

I don't think either of those factors play a role, I think he just walked straight onto the punch.

Most fighters would be KO'd if they walked onto a punch like that.

Kell Brook is hoping to have his fight pushed back by 3 or 4 weeks. Ankle injury.

Correct move in my opinion Hearn got it spot on when he said no point going into such a big fight not 100%

I don't want Fury v Price. I want Fury v a Klitchsko so he get's the best hiding possible.

Tyson Fury and class never goes hand in hand. Fair enough I get the point that he hates David Price but it reminds me of George Groves v James DeGale. DeGale was giving shit in interviews and everything but when the fight happend Groves got the decision. I can see the same happening with Price and Fury with Price getting the win. The purse bids for the fight are due in January but the fight will not happen.

As for Manny he was a great fighter but that KO reminded me of Hattons before the last fight it was so bad. Also Mannys better wins were against Cotto at a catch weight. And Del La Hoya at a catch weight. I know his wars with the Mexicans were great but there were some questionable decisions that got him his way in the Marquez fights and thats how its been for him.
