Of course; it is a Bluemoon forte to dismiss anything/anyone that is a success.

Give the lad a chance eh before dismissing him. When he's been beaten as many times as Hatton or Khan, then suggest he's not top level.

When he climbs in the ring with the calibre of fighter Hatton regularly did I'll listen to you.

You can have Khan though ;.)

He hasn't earned that right, yet, to enter the ring with the fighters Hatton did, but he might. No point in folk attempting to discredit his achievements so far, which is what we have seen on here tonight. It is, however, unfortunate the fight with Devon Alexander didn't materialise.

That's a fair point and I wish the lad all the best. I think he's a bit short of genuine world class. Love to be proved wrong though...

He needs to tighten up his defence, but he can dig, really dig. But needs to stop being an easy target which he can be. I am enjoying his journey, and as he's an Englishman and he's not brash and is likeable , I hope others can too.

The problem he's got is that at 147, genuine world class unfortunately means he has to be able to mix it with the following

Mayweather
Bradley
Marquez
Pacquiao
Provodnikov
Broner
Alexander
Guerrero
Maidana

The nearly men in that division are also good

Keith Thurman, Shawn Porter, Paulie Malignaggi, Andre Berto.

I honestly don't remember a division being this talented since 140 had Hatton, Mayweather, Cotto, Tszyu, Corrales and Castillo in it. This actually eclipses it i'd say. He's obviously going down the IBF route and if he beats Alexander/Porter he could feasibly take on a fairly easy defence before getting a money fight against Khan, or actually even fighting a beatable name like Mosley or Malignaggi. One down the line for him will probably be Frankie Gavin if he can sort his act out. I don't envy him anyway,. It's going to take a monumental effort to become a force in that division.

I think Kell would leather Malignaggi. But the rest, you are right, one hell of a division at the moment, full of talent.

Brook did what he was supposed to do, Senchenko is nothing special. Let's see him step up the competition now.

Hopkins won again. Fountain of youth that bloke.
yeah he shouldn't avoid any of the bigger ones, fight Alexander and Broner, maybe Marquez if he's still going and then on to Mayweather

That's a good point and a stacked division he's in! I worry about his mental side more than anything, his camp keep eluding to how he nearly quit, how he thought his career was over. After the first Jones fight he blamed his diet. He's an anxious looking guy to me. I remeber Danny Williams having that about him, loads of talent but his head was right, injuries aside you've got to say they're taking a long time progressing Kell, there might be a reason behind that!

Mallignaggi is someone I will never get. He seems a decent fighter but never good enough for 147 and yet somehow he has won titles, yet everytime I see him fight he gets leathered to feck.

Broner didn't leather him. That fight was competitive.
