Froch in 29th. What a joke.
Thought that myself. I'm not sure how they judge it really, If they're just going off performances in 2010 then Floyd wouldn't be anywhere near the top. Not entirely sure how Berto makes it to 21 either.
I think it's just their ppv rankings overall. I'll never ever understand How Tim Bradley cops a top ten spot, and how Froch is outside the top 40. It's daft,

Carl Froch is the best British fighter out there now fighting from the UK. The fighters he has taken on and beaten is truely amazing. I can now see why Calzaghe didnt want anything to do with Froch he was in the same boat as Collins was when Joe was looking to fight him they didnt want to know and go looking for bigger fights instead to keep there legacy what it is today.

Side note Marquez v Morales will be made for a World title fight no matter what that is a must see even if Morales is past his best. If Moreales can turn back the clock this could be a fight of the year contender.

Not sure I agree with that. I think JMM will batter Morales. Morales is competing with Roy Jones on the 'past it' scales at the moment.

Morales will be a danger in the early rounds. Just seen the fight is set for Lightweight so Morales will have to drop some weight. Yes Morales was in some hard wars as was Marquez and he is a couple of years younger. To be fair maybe he would of been better to fight for a light welterweight title but with Alexander , Bradley and Khan all having fights maybe the drop down to fight Morales is the right step it will be a big pay day for both and if Morales wins he is the first Mexican to win a World titles at 4 different weights. He has a punchers chance won his last 3 fights you just never know what will happen Marquez got dropped in his last fight and Morales has the power to drop him.

Del Boy Chisora V Wladamir Klitschko is set for the 30th of April in Germany. A bit shocked it is going ahead. So if Haye fights a Klitschko it will have to be Vit first which is the harder of the 2 fights in my opinion. Haye may not be happy that he didnt get the younger brother but if it has to be the old brother so be it. Just seems something is gone wrong that we dont know about.

Heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and titleholder David Haye, on the verge of a deal for the biggest heavyweight fight in years, will go their separate ways again after talks fell apart Wednesday, Bernd Boente, Klitschko's manager, told ESPN.com.

Boente said the sides had agreed on the material aspects of the fight, including a 50-50 split of the revenue. However, they could not come to an agreement on a date and site for the fight because of conflicting schedules between RTL, the German network that features Klitschko's fights, and Sky, the British subscription network that televises Haye's fights on Sky Box Office pay-per-view.

So instead of fighting Haye, Klitschko will make his 10th title defense in a rescheduled fight against Derek Chisora. They will meet April 30 in Mannheim, Germany, Boente said. Klitschko-Chisora had been scheduled for Dec. 11, but was called off when Klitschko suffered an abdominal tear while training four days before the fight.

"I am very happy that we have found a new date for the fight so quickly," Klitschko said. "Chisora insulted me many times and that is why I still have unfinished business with him. He is a very good boxer but as a person he is a loser. Like I had [planned] in December, I will now teach him a lesson at the end of April."

Still, Boente said he was confident the Klitschko-Haye fight will eventually be made.

"I'm pretty sure the fight will happen. I'm very positive about it," he said. "We were close with all the details. It was really a question about the date and venue. We always have to bring RTL and Sky together as our main TV partners and then go from there. We hadn't gotten into details about U.S. TV, but that would have been HBO or Showtime, and I would prefer Showtime."

Klitschko had the option of rescheduling the fight with Chisora immediately, but when the prospect of a much more lucrative fight against Haye arose, the sides began negotiating.

"We wanted to do the fight April 30 with Haye. We had two stadiums available in Germany, and coming to Germany was not a problem for Haye," Boente said. "They only wanted neutral officials, judges, referee, all that. That is no problem. We agreed on all the points, but the major issue was Sky was not willing to do a second pay-per-view in April."

Junior welterweight titlist Amir Khan is slated to fight April 16 in England on Sky Box Office, even though he does not have a set opponent.

"We asked them to change the Khan date, maybe move it back to May, but they didn't want to do that," Boente said.

Khan's fight is also slated to be on HBO in the United States, so those schedules also need to mesh.

"We couldn't find a date after April, not in May or June," Boente said. "Either there was no date for RTL or Sky or a stadium [because of the heavy soccer schedule]. We couldn't believe it, but that's Sky's decision. April 30 was the perfect date for RTL and for a stadium, but Sky never has done two pay-per-views in one month. Klitschko-Haye would be a way bigger pay-per-view event (than Khan]."

Boente said the earliest date for the fight they could come up with that matched the networks and venue availability was July 2.

Both sides were willing to fight on that date, Boente said. However, he said that the Haye and manager/trainer Adam Booth refused to allow Klitschko to take the April 30 interim fight with Chisora.

"They would not accept that, but Wladimir was not willing to wait another six months and have it be 10 months since his last fight against Sam Peter [in September]," Boente said.

Boente said Haye could have also taken an interim fight and then faced Klitschko on July 2.

"I think the fight will come, but too bad it's not now because of the date and venue," Boente said. "We could still do it if they would agree to July 2. We still have the door open for that, but Wladimir is going to have a fight in April. Haye can also do a fight in between, maybe the mandatory with Ruslan Chagaev. We are not opposed to that."

Boente informed Chisora promoter Frank Warren that they were rescheduling the fight under the terms of their original contract. The fight will take place at the SAP Arena, where it was originally scheduled.

Boente said the fight is already a near-sellout because only a small percentage of ticket buyers had returned their tickets when the fight was called off as they awaited an announcement of a possible rescheduling of the bout.

Chisora (14-0, 9 KOs), of England, was thrilled Klitschko elected to reschedule the fight.

"This news is a fantastic late Christmas present," the 27-year-old Chisora said. "I always believed that I would fight Klitschko, and my faith has been repaid. I was a bit worried that he might try and fight an easier touch, but I think I've earned my opportunity. I was gutted when Wladimir pulled out of our fight just a couple of days beforehand. But now I've got another chance to take his titles away. He's a great world champion, but his time at the top is well and truly up.

"My promoter, Frank Warren, has done a great job in getting me this opportunity because there was no guarantee Wladimir would fight me again after he got injured."

Klitschko (55-3, 49 KOs), 34, is still recovering from his abdominal injury and can't begin training until late January, Boente said. He suffered a 2-inch tear on the left side of his abdominal muscle near the bottom of his rib cage in his final training session.

Some have questioned the validity of Klitschko's injury because of photos published in a Florida newspaper of him on a golf course there. Boente said Klitschko, who has a home in South Florida, did not play golf, but that he is a member of a country club and was there taking publicity photos and doing some minor chipping for footage in a documentary being produced about his life.

Klitschko and Haye have been on a collision course for the past few years. Haye has repeatedly taunted Klitschko and his brother, fellow heavyweight titlist Vitali Klitschko, in the hopes of landing a big payday.

At a press conference, Haye famously wore a T-shirt depicting him standing in the ring with the decapitated heads of the brothers, which angered both of them.

Haye's taunts worked. The 30-year-old former cruiserweight champion, signed to challenge Wladimir in Germany at the 60,000-seat Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen in June 2009, but backed out weeks before the fight claiming a back injury few believed -- and one for which he never produced the necessary medical report.

Later in 2009, Haye was supposed to challenge Vitali Klitschko and the sides agreed to terms. But before signing the deal, Haye backed out and instead signed to fight titlist Nikolai Valuev, whom he beat to claim a belt in November 2009. He has made two defenses, knocking out former titlist John Ruiz and British country Audley Harrison.

All the while, he has talked about fighting one of the Klitschko brothers, but not signed.

So it looks like it's down to TV partners and the Khan fight being so close to the April date. From what I can gather. Either way it's another kick in the bollocks for Boxing fans.

Yeah Morales is done. Marquez isn't. Morales will struggle to lose the weight imo.

they said no to Klitschko/Haye because of Amir Fucking Khan?!

what a fucking joke Sky is becoming.
No, they just don't want two ppv's in 1 month, which is fair enough as it will be a £30 outlay for their customers. Khan already has his date with Sky and HBO which again is fair enough.

The fault lies with with Haye and his team and Klitschko's team and has done for the last 18 months.

Can't expect Khan to change his date for a fight that will probably fall through anyway.

Hopefully the Haye v Vit Klitschko fight gets the green light. I cant see them coming so far talking about fights for a fight not to happen in early May with the older brother now. Time to sort it out as boxing needs this fight to happen as does Haye. If he plans to call time at the end of this year then he has to fit both in and a fight in May and late November early December has to be the way to go.

From what Buncey has to say about Haye on his podcast for William Hill he thinks Haye will fight on in 2012. He was on fire in that podcast slating Ringside and Sky for not saying anything about Froch. Oh how I miss the bunce boxing hour the best boxing program made he talked to anybody while Sky will only talk to Sky fighters. Always a must see for any boxing fan.

David Haye Statement from his site about Klitschko.

WBA world heavyweight champion David 'The Hayemaker' Haye has branded rival titleholder Wladimir Klitschko a 'coward', following the Ukrainian's decision not to unify the belts in a 2011 showdown.

A bout between IBF and WBO kingpin Klitschko and Haye appeared close to completion earlier this week, but Wladimir instead decided to announce an April 30 title defence against Britain's Dereck Chisora on Wednesday.

“We agreed to a date of July 2nd at a venue in Germany with both Sky Sports and RTL and everybody appeared happy with the deal,” said a bemused Haye. “We made a few concessions to remove past stumbling blocks and were happy to do so, as it finally looked like the fight would get made.

“Even through negotiations, though, it was clear Wladimir was looking for the coward's way out. He would often come up with new obstacles and problems to overcome, and I never once sensed he fancied it.

“He refused to come to England, wanted to pick his own gloves, enter the ring second, box out of the red corner and demanded a German doctor. He also wanted his name to feature first on any promotional material ahead of the event. We bowed to each and every one of his demands. I didn't want to potentially jeopardise anything this time around.”

With everything in place for a Haye bout, Klitschko nevertheless settled for Chisora, an unproven British champion. Still adamant the unification clash will happen, Klitschko informed Haye that he plans to deal with both Brits in 2011.

“It should never have come to this,” said Haye, 25-1 (23 KO). “I was available to fight in May and June, yet Klitschko only gave me dates of April 30 and July 2. The April date would be too close to Amir Khan's next fight, and prove problematic with Sky Box Office, so we settled for July.

“Klitschko claims he'll fight both me and Chisora, but it's nonsense. Are we expected to believe that a fighter who competed only once in the whole of 2009 and twice in 2010 is now going to box twice in a matter of nine weeks? A bout with me is the most lucrative, meaningful and dangerous fight Wladimir's ever had, not some throwaway tune-up. Wladimir won't fight anybody nine weeks after Chisora, let alone me.

“I now need to look for a fight of my own beyond April, as Amir Khan has that month tied up with his bout. Presumably Wladimir is expecting me to fight in either May or June and then face him in early July. It's ridiculous.”

This latest twist in the Haye-Klitschko saga has angered the Brit more than any other and, as he now seeks out a title challenger of his own, the WBA champion is resigned to missing out on the fight he so desperately wants.

“They demanded 50:50 right from the start and we eventually agreed and gave them all they wanted, despite the fact that our side brought three times as much money to the overall pot,” recalled Haye.“We had venues available for May and June, but Wladimir had no intention of ever coming to England. Unfortunately, he claimed he had no venues available in Germany for May and June and that's why we find ourselves in the situation we're in right now.”

Haye added: “If the fight doesn't happen now, it never will. I'm done with the Klitschkos. I know I can retire later this year with my head held high, knowing I did everything in my power to make these fights happen. I've had defining fights and beaten the best in the world as a cruiserweight, but, without me, Wladimir can never say he's done the same as a heavyweight.”

That Gorilla productions fella always makes the best promo videos for fights. HBO should sign him, his promos are always better than theirs.

My favourite one of his was the May/Mosley promo

Talks a good game, that is why he fights the likes of Harrison rather than Chagaev.

To be fair to haye, it is a nightmare when fighting one of the brothers. Their contracts are so complex it's unbelievable! Beat one brother and you have to fight the other brother, who in turn has a rematch clause. These lads are destroying heavyweight boxing at the moment. The best scenario would be, for haye to beat wlad, then vitali, then retire and free the belts up for the 'new' generation to fight over.

Rumours from the boxing jurnos over here is more than likely the fight will be on Sky Sports. The big bang Casey came to fame by winning Prizefighter so they can play off that. American tv is sorted it is just who is going to show it in Ireland and the UK has yet to be comfirmed. The undercard rumoured to be on it is Dean Byrne who was sparring with Khan in the build up to his last fight should be on the card. IF Sky get involved maybe 1 of there promotors be it Warren , Maloney or Matchroom will want to showcase one of there fighters in the undercard as well if they go down the Sky route but it will be a great way to end the Paddys week.

Don't forget the cricket world cup. Matches start at 9am GMT (most are D/N) so a good excuse for a Guiness breakfast.

I would say the cricket may well be over by the time Willie Big Bang goes to the ring. The fight could well start 11 pm our time here but then again it well be on latter that night depending on American tv aswell. I hope its on early as the Magee fight is on the same night for a World title and I will be trying to watch that fight on tv somewhere.
