Another display of shit punditry by Jim Watt again last night. Does this man have dirt on the sky execs? How the fuck is he still in the job?! As is the Jim Watt blueprint, he basically decided who he was gonna score all the rounds for after about 5 minutes and just ignore every shot that the other guy lands. In this case he was ridiculously biased in favour of Froch.

I had Groves a round up going into the 8th and he was winning the 8th up till the KO. Although I am happy Froch proved the doubters wrong yet again.

I agree I thought Jim Watt was an absolute disgrace last night. He wasn't the only one though, when that guy asked Amir Khan what he thought of the fight so far, Amir said Groves was looking comfortable and was on top, in which the guy then said 'You mean Froch right'? It really was like there was an A.G.E.N.D.A but I'm not sure you're allowed to say that about boxing

He specifically asked him do you think froch is on top?
Khan misheard and thought he was talking about groves and said what he said.
Jim Watt corrected the question.

Yeah, Watt does seem to have this habit of picking a fighter from R1 and then brown nosing them throughout the fight.

As for the scorecards, I had Froch 4-3 up but Groves looking like he going to peg it back in the 8th only to get sparked.

What is plan to see is just how naïve Froch was in the first fight thinking he could just breeze past Groves. If he’d have put the same effort in the gym as what he did for this rematch, we probably wouldn’t have had all this malarkey that’s been going on for months, nor would Groves suddenly be tagged as this next World Champ bollocks.

Don’t get me wrong, I believe Groves will go on to win a world belt, but he was put up on this unbelievably high pedestal because of Froch’s arrogance in the build up to the first fight.

Groves will have to have a couple of fights now before he gets a title shot, whereas Degale is unlikely to get one straight away too as Froch will no doubt head to Vegas. Having said that, Groves will fetch more money than Degale at the moment, so there’s a small chance Sakio Bika could seek out Groves for a UK fight as the rest in the WBC ranks simply don’t have any pull.

Poor from groves to get tagged by that just when he was getting a foothold in the fight. fucking hell if you can't defend the old one two then you have no business fighting for world titles. Frochs legend is assured he should call it a day now.
Not fair to say groves has no right boxing for world titles because he got caught by a one two. Pac man walked on to a straight right and is a 7 weight champion, frochs movement and speed of punch done groves the right was coming before the left had tagged him amd it was almost a counter punch as groves had swung, froch done his homework from the last fight and knew groves would throw the left to counter
Spot on mate, most knockout punches come from a "lazy" left jab followed by a straight right , very hard to defend against, check out marciano ko on jersey joe walcot, still the best ko ever imo.

What Groves did wrong was try to throw his left hook when Froch had thrown his straight right - should have tucked his chin in and tried to block. A straight right lands quicker than a left hook. Just a sign of Groves in experience.

Don't know much about the Jim Watt carry on but I had Froch ahead, not by a lot but clear enough imo.

Like I said I had Froch up too, 4-3 after the 7th, but I think Watt had him 6-1 up.

6 1 haha, fuk me... maybe 5 2 or 4 3 but never 6 1.. although I can't think why but I lurve that scoreline:)

Jim Watt has been gone to shit for years. He calls for his favourite fighter time and time again nothing new there. Need a total reshake of the Sky pundit and comentary teams. I dont mind Johnny Nelson he is good. But on comentary they need someone fresh wouldnt mind seeing Jamie Moore doing it but he is doing some corner work.

As for Adam Booth he has seen it all with Haye and him and Groves worked well. I honestly think if Booth was in Groves corner he would of won the first fight. As for who George fights next easy a fight with a top 10 then a fight with Arthur Abraham for the WBO title. Think both are promoted by Saurland now so that fight is doable.

They are, however Degale is higher ranked in the WBO and therefore he may get a shot at that once Abraham defends against Paul Smith.
