Don’t see the point in hunting down Ward. The stage Froch is at in his career now, he may aswell hunt down Chavez Jr for a Vegas fight in December, then perhaps have Kessler III back in Nottingham next year and retire after that. May aswell get himself one last payday rather than a boring, one-sided defeat to boring Ward.

Kessler 3 is a pointless fight. Degale represents a bigger challenge and a decent payday too. The best fight isn't any names mentioned, it's Golovkin. Him moving up from MW to fioght Froch would be an absolute war and would be a great fight for both fighters that actually means something. Martinez who is a blown up MW and in decline handled Chavez JR and he was roided up too (hence the bullshit cannabis ban).

So to recap, Froch to fight Golovkin is ideal, if not I like the idea of Froch moving up to fight Kovalev. Both fights are against the best at their divisions rather than beating on some names whom are inferior and likely to lose. Ward handles Froch 100 times outta 100 fights and is pointless, froch was lucky to have scorecards as close as they were.

I think Froch is there for the taking personally, he needed this win hugely and credit where it's due he delivered on a massive scale. Had it gone to 12 as I thought it would, I am totally convinced Groves would have won and that Froch would have crumbled and retired. he hasn't and we move forward, it's now two routes, cash out on fights of little worth or still carry on this epic 'old skool' run of competitive fights and bow out as winner against the elite or go down trying to do so. Froch will be remembered as one of the best teh country as produced, not as good as the ATG Calzaghe but a record that surpasses his.

The thing is Carl will want to try and avenge his defeat against Ward. Ward in UK Carl may have a chance in the US no chance. As for GGG v Carl it will mean Carl dropping the weight no chance. GGG will have to move up to Super Middleweight for that fight. Carl in with a banger like GGG and dropping down weight he will be weight drained and against GGG thats going to be too much.
Agree with you about Carl will go down with the best that laced them up in the UK. I loved Joe Calzaghe loved his style the best British boxer / fighter I have seen. I think Carl is up there with him and has never turned down any fight and its a whos who of the boxing he has boxed. Technically not as good as Joe but like Joe a warrior such a shame they never boxed. Also to say that Joe also missed out on fighting Steve Collins when he retired. 2 fights I always wanted to see that never happened sadly.


Also see that Richard Schaefer has left Golden Boy Promotions there is rumours he is going to team up with Al Haymon and may well set up a promotional team to rival Golden Boy and Bob Arum and some of his fighters he is managing is top class. With his main man being Money Mayweather to Amir Khan , Leo Santa Cruz , Shawn Porter and Danny Garcia they seem to think that Golden Boy will fall to bits if these 2 men team up.

I meant up mate if you read the post again pal. GGG should move up to get the superfights, the guys mustard and him v Ward is tantalising.

Schaefer has practically carried GBP from what we see on the outside. Does all the press, makes the fights and runs the gig. Guys an astute ec banker I believe. I like him, he's a doer and a positive matchmaker who makes good fights unlike Arum who cost us Juanma v Gamboa and holds Pac from Floyd, blatantly robbed him Bradley in the first imo.

Al Haymon is imo the man at the mo. He's got great fighters and he's making big fights of the next generation of big fighters. Schaeffer must be schmoozing HBO too, the split has to be sorted for Al Haymon to takeover. I think they can though, Arum very old now and Oscar is having personal troubles and left Schaefer to do all the work and he's obviously grown tired.

I guess so buddy but just think GGG will clean up at Middleweight before fighting Ward more so than Froch. Just know that he will want to fight Marthinez and then move up to take on whoever. Think its a fight too far for Froch and also think he knows that all his advisors will tell him to avoid a fight with GGG.

Sky Sports last week had a sporting heros programe on with Naz well worth a look. Naz was basically saying it was down to Sky for his ringwalks and the showman came from that. Also said his worst mistake was leaving Warren as his promotor.

Naz in my opinion was the 1 fighter who could of and maybe should of been the greatest British boxer of all time. As he had the talent and flair and could talk up a fight and could back up a fight and do what he said. Sadly for Naz when the going got hard he lost his love for the game his heart wasnt in it. Shame as he could of boxed some of the Mexican greats at that time after he retired at a young age. He made his money and got out of the game way too early is my view. Barrera in a rematch , Morales even Marquez were all around back then for him to fight along with Money he missed out on fighting those young hungry fighters as his love of the game was gone and thats why he isnt the greatest fighter to come out of the UK.

I would even put Ricky Hatton ahead of him 2 of his 3 defeats were against pound for pound best fighters at the time. He should never of came back after he retired but trying to get a tv deal forced him back into the ring. It kinda ruined his legacy a bit for me.

Na Leighton, naz was a cocky **** even at 15 in his amateur fights, sky might of polished it but he craved the showmanship, ultimately it was his downfall, he's also not fit to lace Barreras boots, brilliant entertainer though....

For me mate, and maybe I'm a bit biased because I really liked the guy, but I'd have to go for Kirkland Laing on that one, incredibly gifted but with a lifestyle completely at odds with the sport, it would have been brilliant to see what he could have achieved had that not been the case.

Check out the KO by Andy Lee against John Jackson on Saturday night. Lee was getting a good beating until he stopped Jackson down in the first round and to come back with a top class punch like that wow.
Also Cotto beating Marthinez to win the World title hopefully now see Cotto v GGG to unification fight for the Middleweight titles be good to see at the end of the year.
