He was but he had to have a perfect fight with zero errors as everyone was saying if he got caught by one big punch it would be over and that's what happened. Still he got $6 million for that so not a bad nights work.
 
Is that the end of Khan now then? never knew he was so old now, well considering i had him down as 22 or so still in my head.
Energy merchants like him can't go on as long as tactical chaps right ?

I read somewhere it was £9 million. That fight was always gonna go like that, I have to say Atlas called that fight spot on said Khan would win first few rounds then get ko'd. No shame on him though, it was a win win fight. Nobody talks shit because he jumped up in weight and was expected to lose, his career is definitely not over think it did him a lot more good than bad to be honest.

His career isn't over but I can see why he took this big pay day cos he just isn't good enough to be getting these kind of fights and he probably won't get another one.
 
That punch would have knocked out most, shows how good Floyd is, maybe no the most exciting but he made canelo look silly.

Think he will drop down mate, for 4 rounds he did well. That speed is insane just his chin, against big punchers can't keep taking digs like that he's had a few.
 
People saying that shot would've knocked any middleweight in the world out ? But why then say that's why you don't fight a bigger man ?

Just watched it on BeIN TV with Arabic commentary so I couldn't be influenced, and got to say I think that's a generous assessment as neither fighter was landing anything much. Khan was keeping himself out of harm's way nicely, whilst taking the odd body shot, but he wasn't troubling Alvarez unduly. I thought Khan won 3 of the first 4, but Alvarez looked the stronger man in the 5th and I thought the end would come within 2 or 3 more rounds. Despite Khan's previous for getting knocked out cold, I wasn't expecting that though. Absolute humdinger of a right hand.

I was just gutted, really wanted him to win. I think Canelo wasn't in it the first 2 rounds, but after that started to come in to it more and more. He was doing really good work to the body which I think made that shot he land possible. Was a beauty of a Ko but still gutted for khan.

Never seen such bullshit in my life. One of britains youngest ever world champions. I guess you feel Maidana, Alexander, Malinaggi etc were also stealing a living? Problem with today is the fans expectations are too high, if you're not on the Top level you're shit in most people's eyes. If you lose a few fights that makes you shit. Khan is a good fighter, that elite level only a few are on.
 
I didn't see the whole fight but what a fantastic punch.

Ive never had any time for Khan so this result has started my day off very well.
