yep. thought that too.
Just seemed surreal when French bloke came into the ring followed by a chap in a city shirt.
had to rewind, good old sky plus.
I initially wanted groves to win but I'm all in a pondery now.
come on City

Re: Groves boxing now

Groves boxed well but showed the same flaws that saw him lose to Froch.
Don't know if this was because Rabrasse couldn't punch or that's his style and he cant change it!
Also a bit of knob for having asking Froch for a third fight too!

Don't really rate him leaves himself to open puts a lot of energy into the early rounds leaving himself knackered later on don't really think he's got that big knockout power. Still got a lot to learn the best fighters rarely get hit and have good defence he hasn't.

Think Groves deserves another World Title shot and hopefully he uses his experience and wins it.

If anything he has shown that he belongs at the top level. His fights with Froch shown that he can hold his own with the big boys and he comfortably disposed of the European title holder last night.

My only worry is that he lacks concentration and is more interested in going for the knockout and putting on a show for the fans than sticking to his gameplan. He has a habit of leaving himself wide open when he has a comfortable points lead. If he takes a leaf out of Mayweathers book and learns to protect a lead and frustrate his opponent then he will be a world champion.

Not sure who wins in Quigg v Frampton but hope its Quigg, i think both will fall short at top level though
What's top level???
Frampton is a World Champion who is holding a real world title. He is a elite fighter. Quigg is holding a paper World championship as there main guy is Rigondeaux who is the top of the division. There are some good fighters in this division. Leo Santa Cruz is a big fighter fighting in the US Frampton has been his number 1 contender for his title so that fight could be made. I think if Hearn doesn't do a good deal team Frampton could go to the US and fight there he has a good solid style and power and could do well there. See what happens when talks open. In the papers Hearn is talking about 2 fights between Quigg and Frampton so that's basically a year with them tied up fighting each other and something I cant see both fighters agree to.

top level was the wrong words to be fair as they are both already top level, what i mean is i don't think any of them are future superstars and won't ever be regarded as THE best in the division.
I'm just not as sold on Frampton as everyone else seems to be, though admit i know I'm in the minority so may well be wrong, i know you can only beat whats in front of you but i don't think he has yet beaten anyone at the top of their game. i also think his power is overrated and although 13 kos from 19 looks good like i say idont think he's fought much yet, take Hatton he stopped most on his way up but no one would now call Hatton a 1 punch KO artist.
you are obviously a huge Frampton fan and i think that is making you very harsh on Quigg, they are both young undefeated fighters in the same weight class and rivalry is going to be their, but none of them have done anything wrong they both just say they will win the fight, for me Quigg is a great guy and someone who is a wonderful professional and great role model for any fighters coming up.
I don't think we can say Quigg needs to earn a fight with Frampton as i don't think Frampton has done that much more so the fight should be made ASAP, like i say i don't know who wins but am pretty sure the bookies will have Frampton favourite when the time comes

IF you question who Frampton has boxed Quigg's record aint that great. I am a huge Frampton fan I wont say I am not you could look back at the begining of this tread and I have called it from the day I seen him fighting in the ams that he had the style to be a good professional and once seeing him fighting pro I knew he would go on and win a World title. He has it all. Can fight on the back foot as well as go toe to toe. This division will get sorted out sooner rather than later. Carl will hopefully not be out for long and could hopefully fight the end of the year if not then early next year. I do honestly think Quigg needs to fight a dangerous fighter. Joe Gallagher wont have it. We could see that earlier as Joe was the 1 who was against these 2 fighting years ago. No matter how much a good role model Quigg is his following is piss poor. I look at Carl and he is a promotions dream can talk a good fight and backs it up. I honestly think Carl can be a 2 weight World Champion whenever they deserve to move up. Regarding who they both fight next IF they dont fight each other. Quigg will fight another bum of sorts lacking real SBW power. Carl will fight Avalos as hes the mandatory. I think depending on what TV Carl gets will be a major factor. Carl will want the biggest share in the Quigg fight as he brings more to fight than Quigg does but will Hearn and Quigg give Carl his way and admit there second fiddle to Carl??

This weekend good win by George Groves got a good points win and preformed well. Loved him calling out Froch the lad has so much confidence in his own boxing. I think if he cuts out the mistakes he will be good enough to win a World title.
Kid Galahad had a good win too on points at the weekend. A lot of people are calling for Quigg v Frampton but Galahad is calling both of these out time and time again. IF he keeps winning its only a matter of time before he gets his shot at either 1.
